** The Offical 2008 MLB Thead!!! **

Phillies, 2-0.

Dodgers, 2-0.

NLCS right there (99.9999% likely...)

ALCS might be a little different...I could see the White Sox making a comeback because I think they are a strong team at their fundamentals. However, the Rays are just that damned good. Gonna be a great series nonetheless, with a 1-0 advantage to the Rays.

The Angels and Red Sox? Well, I despise the Red Sox almost as much as the Cubs, so I am rooting for the Angels

Oh, and it was GLORIOUS to watch the past two games at Wrigley Field. Their faces....priceless!

:gogirl:

As much as I loathe the Phillies, they deserve being where they are.C.C. Sabathia can't go on forever on three day's rest, great as he is.These Phillies have an opportunistic streak even going out early in the playoffs last year, they have in abundance over the Mets.Scrub,I can only root for Philly though if they make the WS with Boston.Nothing can make me root for the Bosox.;)

LOL

Rub salt in my wounds PLEASE!

Just because ........

**** notice I didn't call anyone a bitch ****

:p
I was just thinking it would be cool to have a Chisox /Cubs WS,but that doesn't look like its happening anytime soon.;)

OMG

ABS posting how well the Phillies are doing and saying they are going to win.

What is the world coming to.

Well Scrub, I don't know how you interpreted "Phillies 2-0" as saying how well they are doing and going to win  Ya never know, you all could sink faster than the Titanic!

(although if the Cubs came back to win the next three, I would cry.)

Oh Sausy, you know I love you, but bite your tongue, a Phillies/BoSox WS???
That is too depressing, and it would be the first time in my life I would have a tough time watch the WS. As for the Phillies, I expected those punks to kill off the Brewers, and it looks like they will, but that had better be as far as they get.

Yup, Santana he ain't;)

What an embarrassment for CC and with all talk about other teams wanting him for next season
I was thinking the Yankees would make a play for him, maybe throw a whole bunch of money at him. They don’t wanna make the same mistake they made with Johan.

I really hope so,sonny.I'm only talking worst case scenario, and if it comes to Bosox-Phillies,I'll abstain from supporting anyone.I love the toughness and determination of Tampa, hope they surprise Boston. The Dodgers winning in the NL with Manny Ramirez playing a key role would be really interesting.

C.C. will still tremendous offers, but as great as he was down the stretch he doesn't get things done in the playoffs.Yankees really would not be where he wants to go unless the bids from the NL clubs are significantly lower, which I doubt. He likes the NL lineups with no DH and he loves to get a chance to hit in the lineup.A great pitcher but whether he went to the well on three days rest once to often or he just isn't a playoff pitcher....which seeing how much grit and heart he had shown going down to the regular season wire performing so amazingly,I think he just wore down....he has something to prove. But from what I read about him a class guy, great teammate and some club will more likely than not be very happy with him.

To my fellow Cubs fan ...... (*8*)

Said this before and I'll say it again .....

The Cubs lost last night and so the curse apparently continues ....

I love that clip perfect fit here

100 years and counting.

Hey Cory, come on now, doesn't the Dodgers sweep of the Cubs make the Cards season ending a little easier to deal with now. ;) I mean, just a little??

Now if only the Brewers can pull off a miracle and keep it going against the Phillies.

I can't wait for the Dodgers to kick the Phillies butt back to Philadelphia.
I still hold out for the Brewers pulling off an upset and win the next 2.
That would be so awesome, I'd be dancin in the streets. But ortherwise I will leave it to LA to finish them off

Oh babe, you have NO idea how much better it makes it!

After Mizzou kicked the ever living shit outta Nebraska last night (and yes, me and my bitches were at a bar watching both) it was so glorious to watch the Flubs lose - again.

Yeah yeah, I know I say it all the time, but I hate them. Literally. And it was the BEST THING EVER to watch them get swept. The whole bar erupted in cheers when they lost last night :=D:

Also, you know Cubs fans were doing the same thing in 2004 (even though I was doing the same thing in 2003) so I have no remorse whatsoever.

Phillies Win (!)

Beat Brewers

On to the Dodgers

then World Series :gogirl: :gogirl:

Tell em how you really feel about the Cubs,Abs!You aren't being explicit enough!:rotflmao:Poor Sam and Robert(*8*).....their Cubbies never stood a chance.

Hey Scrub, congrats on Philly going to the NLCS but the Dodgers will be tough.Manny wants to win it all in the worst $$$way.:p

Great game tonight in Boston Brad, going into extra innings.Papelbon was superb in the ninth and Francisco Rodriguez was a magician getting out of that bases loaded jam.Oh,Dustin Pedroia and Jacoby Ellsbury gets my motor running.....if only they were Yankees!:p

Sorry bout Mets......and the Yanks.......and even AbS's poor Cards.

I told you we would be talking in October sonny!

Yeah babe, but I was kinda hoping you meant Mets/Sox in the WS :(

Not a Red Sox fan myself, but nice ending to win the game last night.
Tek "gets" his man in an intersting tag :=D:
