** The Official 2010 MLB Thread! **

omg make the losing stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't take it anymore!

I can't say the same, but they're one of a handful of teams I root for when my team is out of it.

Mariners/A's/Tigers/Rays/Rockies F.T.W.

Speaking of, perhaps the Rays are not my only hope as the Rockies are looking pretty good lately. :c)
Usually I go for underdogs, unless it's my team of course.

But in this part of the season, I'll cheer for anyone that can deal damage against the Yankees OR Phillies. So I'll cheer for pretty much anyone on the NL side that isn't the Phillies.

GO PHILLIES GO

I see you,Scrub!:p

Can't get too upset about tonight...the cow has long left the barn and is three counties away crossing the state border now.;)

Phillies were hurt but stayed cool, got healthy and roared back.Up to now, they deserve all the success they've attained.....and the Mets better develop an organization now it looks like Omar Minaya will be pushed out that fully intends to be in it to win it,damn the Phillies,Braves or whoever else gets in the way!(What did you think...I was going to be TOO nice, sweet and generous?):p

I thought that ninth inning last night was so much fun. That time out call made Charlie Manual freak, he thought the inning and the game was over. I mean can you imagine if the Mets had tied the game or won after that time out? Holy smoke that would have made me laugh my ass off.
Of course Scrub wouldn't be so happy today, poor baby ;)

It just seemed to me that after that punk slide Utley made wiping out Tejada we should have won just to get even is all I'm sayin.
They are going to win the division so why not mess with em a little first.

Awww.......Sonny (*8*) and Sausy (*8*) I would expect nothing less of the 2 of of you. I love the teasing since the Phils are winning.

Again maybe next year for the Mets, boys.

Was that you last night drying away the tears with that towel instead of waving it around?

So the Phillies will get another shot at the NLEast tonight if the Braves loose and the Phillies win.
I am torn cause if course I want the Mets to finish over .500 but at the same time I feel for the Philly fans not to not have the chance to celebrate with their team on home field.
Sooooooooo (and I can't believe I'm sayin this) lets go Phillies....for the fans. I have nothing against them it is just the team I hate.I sure don't want the Braves to win cause I dislike the fans and their freakin chop chop as much as I do the team.

I liked the way Beltran handled the Utley slide thing frorm the night before. He made a statement with his slide with what I thought was very sportsman way like. Good job Carlos...proud of the way the Mets handled that.

Enjoy Scrub, and like you said there is always next year for Saucy and me. :D

I want to give a shout out to our boy Abs
Your Cards and my Mets came up short this year, but I am sure you look forward as I do to a better year in 2011
At least it wasn't the Cubs ;)

RobertACE you have Frenchie now how can you loose :D

Scrub watch out for thoase Braves... Chop Chop

It's time for the Texas Rangers to shine this year! :p
I'll cheer for you guys if you beat my team in the ALDS :).

It helps that your Cliff Lee looks a bit like my ex and is good against the Yankees, my ex's favorite team.

Poll for my fellow baseball fans:

Whose face would you rather laugh in when the Rays beat the Yankees in the ALCS: Bill O'Reilly or Lebron James?
O'Reilly

:=D:

I want to make babies with that last line of the post ;) and I heart everyone that's contributed to this thread throughout the MLB season! Playoffs, here we come!

As long as it's not the Phillies that win it all - again - and yes Scrub my dear, I went there :p

(I'll throw the Yankees in that pile as well...)

And christ, Razorz, as much as you love baseball, why haven't you and I shared a beer when I'm on the east coast? ;)

Hoping the Yanks take it again this year, but we've got a lot of question marks with the starting pitching. Pettitte hasn't been right since he came back from injury, Burnett is wildly inconsistent, and Hughes has never made a playoff start. Sabathia has been great, but he can't afford to lose any games.

I'd say the odds are really in the Phillies favor to win it all. Halladay/Oswalt/Hamels is going to be tough for any team to beat.

What an awesome performance yesterday by Roy Halladay who made history as the first pitcher to throw a no-hitter in the playoffs since 1656, only two have done it. I am no Phillies fan but ya gotta respect that.:=D:

*puke*

Also, my Rays prediction sure turned out well... :help:

Sorry, FireGod.

Hey, at least the Yankees and Phillies won! Wait, those are the teams I wanted to jinx.
You and me both.

What prediction? Your initial one would be total heaven to every Rays fan right about now. :help:

 At least let us go down fighting!

New Rule
Umpires should not be allowed to eject managers during playoff or WS games.
It happened twice yesterday when two managers got the boot for arguing balls and strikes. These games are to important to allow a thin skinned umpire eject a manager, I have never liked the idea that a manager can not express an opinion on a call no matter how in your face that may be. The umps have got to grow a pair take the criticism like a man and move on. God knows in so many situations the calls are so dead on wrong that they need to be told that.
Grow up guys, stop acting like spoiled little children let the manager have his say and perhaps who knows maybe learn from it.

And the Minnesota Twins goes down in flames once again.

(New York Yankees sweeps the Twins, 3-0, in ALDS. Wow, those Twins are just about the best, aren't they? Five division titles during the last decade, once again in 2010, and what do you know…!)

Memo to the four other AL Central teams, Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers, and Chicago White Sox: Please make certain Minnesota Twins does not win the AL Central in 2011 (nor the wild card). Clearly, they are a waste!
