The PHILLIES are moving on. ..|

I know ABS is very excited about this.

My case it's die.

But the Rays made the Rangers earn their Hollywood ending and that's the least I want from my team! :)

Congrats to your team though RobertACE. Please have fun with the Yankees as much as we did beating them, heheh.

I'll be cheering on the Giants, hoping they can out pitch the Phillies. I'll also be rooting on the Rangers, anybody but the Yanks! Just wish Cliff Lee was available for game 1. In any case, hoping for exciting games.

I am ONLY glad that you swept the Reds...and even then I kind of feel wrong for rooting for them

Kind of hope the Yankees don't do shit in the playoffs, aside from sweeping the Twins.

When does Spring Training 2011 start again? :(

So how fun will the pitching match up of Roy Halladay and Tim Lincecum be
We will have Halladay who was the only second pitcher in history to pitch a no-hitter during the post season, and Lincecum, who struck out 14 batters in his first post season appearance, also his first.
The start of the National League Division Series is going to be an awesome start to that series.
Can’t wait. :D

Hang in there with me Abs, pitchers and catchers will report Feb 13th ;)

Hey NA great picture and you sure got it right, it told the whole story
Rangers really blew it with lost opportunities early in the game to score more runs, and that sloppy defense late in the game was pathetic.
I loved seing Nolan Ryan throw out the first pitch which was dead on perfect,
he's still got it. :D

wOOt, Texas kicked some Yankee butt today! (!w!)

Now lets do the same in New York!!!

Know you've been a huge Ranger fan for years Rob...and glad to see the make the division championships!..|And I know full well how much you DESPISE the New York Yankees!:pBut your Rangers gonna do a titanic Texas fold em and get sent home for the winter in six or seven, though I think the Yanks have to take it in your backyard,Cliff Lee will be VERY tough Monday night in New York, and he loves these moments!

And to think he ALMOST became a Yankee before Seattle thought they got a better deal with Texas....win or lose,it will be interesting to see this winter if he'll stay in Texas(after an early rough patch, has been terrific ending the season and now in the playoffs)...he seems to have genuine fondness for the area and made some good friends since coming down there like with Michael Young.Still, very close to CC Sabathia and really thought he was going to be traded to the Yankees and he seemed to look forward to it.I think he'll either stay with the Rangers especially if they win(which they won't,according to my predictions!):por go to the Yankees.

Also, love Josh Hamilton....he's been through a lot getting into the wrong crowd and battling addiction, coming back and doing really well then battling injuries, and now coming off a monster year that showed just how justified because of his abilities Texas was in rolling the dice and making a gamble acquiring him from the Reds would be very much worth the investment.A great guy and world class talent, always happy to be playing and hustling...that post game non-alcohol celebration his teammates did for him really was a class act for a very classy young man who shows what perserverance, dedication, and belief in oneself can do in the most trying of situations having hit rock bottom and looking like his life was totally off the rails a few years back.

Lee was outstanding tonight. The Yankees had no chance. Texas is in control of this series now. Burnett is pitching for the Yankees tomorrow, and he's been awful all year. But maybe, since not many expect him to win, it'll take off some of the pressure and he can surprise us. If he wins, I like the Yankees chances with CC in Game 5. After how great he's been this year, it'd be shocking to see him have another bad start.

Cliff Lee sure lived up to all the hype, in fact for me he exceeded the hype.
Eight shutout innings, two hits, one walk and 13 Ks.
Well at least for the Yankees against Lee wasn’t as bad as it was when the Reds and Roy Halladay no-hit them in the ALDS.
I thought Andy Pettitte was outstanding making only that one fatal mistake to Hamilton.
Ya have to think the Yankees will want a shot at Lee next year if he signs as a free agent.

Great effort by Cliff Lee last nite! In total control, love seeing the Yankees struggle. Don't count AJ Burnett as a loss just yet, he can be dominating at times, his inconsistency is what drives the manger/fans crazy. Need to jump on him early to put more pressure on the Yanks hitters. Beat them Yanks!!

He's 6-15 with a 6+ ERA since May. That's consistently bad. But you're right, he does have dominating stuff and it drives me crazy. Maybe he's due to pitch well.

And yeah sonny, Pettitte was great. The Yankees just couldn't get anything going with the bats. But I'm not sure why Girardi didn't pitch Pettitte in Game 2. It makes sense to me that you'd want the experienced veteran pitching on the road, rather than Hughes who is only 24, inexperienced in the postseason, and probably would have benefited from pitching in front of the home crowd. But that's baseball, it always leaves you open for second guessing.

Well, Tip, you are probably correct, that decision to pitch Hughes in game 2 might be the one that puts Texas into the World Series. Sacrificing Hughes against Lee would have been a better idea. Well, Girardi's decision to leave AJ in to pitch to Molina didn't quite work out, BOOM, 3 run homer, and basically, game over! One batter too many. It'll be up to CC to stop the Rangers, but I think too many of the RAngers are hitting right now, Hamilton, Guerrero had 4 hits, Cruz with a homer, could spell the end for the Yanks. CC will have to be at his best today.
Lets go Rangers, spank the Yanks!!!

Forgot to add....Happy Birthday, Mickey Mantle, wherever you are.....

Hey Scrub...GO GIANTS!:pYou know I luv ya,(*8*):kiss:and I know the Phillies are quite capable of winning the next two.Just hope they won't!;)Roy Halladay is so impressive, pitching a strong six innings basically on one leg....hate the Philliies as much as I do,gotta respect them because they have the heart, talent and professionalism I wish my Mets had.BUt I do LOATHE them!!!:p

Hey Robert, you've got a great team in Arlington....the sound I hear through my television is that of Texas cheering they have slain the dreaded Yankee monster after all this time!;)Congrats to the Texas Rangers,a really good club who deserves the AL Championship, and no matter the NL club that wins for Robert I am rooting for their first World Series championship!(*8*):kiss:It's a great team effort, but of course I'm not gonna forget the awesome Josh Hamilton, what a world class talent and certainly salute the incredible Cliff Lee,AL World Series game 1 starter:pand sad to say for Yankee fans I think he really just might re-up with the Rangers.Became friendly with a lot of the players there including Michael Young after the trade from Seattle and appears to really like it there.Seeing Texas is in a World Series it appears, and the new ownership including Texas legend fireballer Nolan Ryan commited to reviving that proud franchise, why the hell wouldn't he seriously look at returning to a pretty damn good situation!

Love that ginger ale celebrattion the Rangers have done for Josh Hamilton here both after both playoff rounds so far...the guy is an inspiration fighting back from alcohol and drug abuse and showing the world what kind of talent ,heart and character he has!

A great team, tonight spotlighting young hurler Colby Lewis who did such a fantastic job facing down the Yanks and old reliable slugger Vladimir Guerrero who most clubs thought was fading...and had such a strong year.I raise my glass to Texas!!!(UU)

Congrats to the Rangers and to RobertACE. The Yankees were completely overmatched in this series. They couldn't pitch, they couldn't hit. The Rangers did their job and they deserve it.

I'm really happy for Hamilton. I was at the 2008 Home Run Derby at Yankee Stadium rooting for Hamilton all the way, and he put on a show that night I'll never forget. His story is incredible, one of my favorite players in the game.

As for my Yankees, I expect them to bring back the core free agents...Jeter, Rivera, Pettitte. They will probably go after Cliff Lee...they can probably outbid the Rangers, but it'll be a matter of whether Lee would rather stay in Texas after the great run they've had. I see them adding another pitcher either way. Crawford from Tampa Bay might be an option to sign for the outfield, but I'm not so sure they'll pursue him after the good season Gardner had.

I'm pulling for the Giants to win it all. I love Tim Lincecum. But if they lose to Philadelphia, I'll definitely be rooting for the Rangers.
