Who gives two shits what they look like??? It was fully within Zac's power to take down the double douche alliance and rather than taking action he acted like the pathetic puppy dog he was and went with the person who had bothered to pat him on the head.
IMO, not nominating the Douchenatos during his first reign as HoH wasn't what cost him that game... That I would attribute to not using the veto during the double eviction episode. Had he exercised the PoV, Daniele would have gone up (seeing as she was the only possible replacement nominee) and he could have easily struck a deal with Eric and/or Jameka to send that whiny cooze home, leaving her fucktard of a dad utterly vulnerable for the next week since he was ineligible to win HoH.

So like I said... he could've taken them down and didn't. At least Janey had the good sense to recognize what utter assholes the Herd were.

True. Unfortunately, she chucked all of her credibility down the tubes less than one year later.

It's pointless arguing personal preferences. And anyone who thinks Zach is a sweetheart is well...wow. Just...WOW. Let's just say, I'm not gonna have much in common with that person in terms of personal preferences. You like who you like.

As far as gameplay goes though, Janey had zero of it. She just happened to hate a bunch of people who were so despicable in Season 6 that our affections easily aligned with hers. I dunno. There's an underdog quality to her and so I root for Janey even as I'm aware that she has no game. And she can't be all that bad personally or else Will (smartest, wittiest and most well-adjusted person to ever enter the BB house) wouldn't have been so fond of her. It's kinda like how you, J-23 liked Jen in BB8 (I agree, she was the most fun, one of my personal favorites, and the only person worth rooting for on that horrible season) even though, let's be real, she also had zero game. See? So I'm sure you can understand.

The problem has to do with casting: most BB players have no game. Unlike Survivor, BB producers actively try to cast idiots and degenerates to stimulate "entertaining" fights etc. So when you get one or two decent strategists per season (Will, Jun, Adam, Dan and yes even that troll Maggie), they tend to go far because everyone else plays stupidly. And with less smart people to pool from, you're less likely to find someone who is both appealing AND a good strategist. Compare that to Survivor where there are usually a handful of people with varying degrees of intelligence and decent gameplay or gameplay potential, and it's more likely then that at least one of them will be likable as well.

And if you're gonna criticize Janelle for having no game (a fair charge), then you can't praise the guy who had ample opportunities to take out a fucking FATHER AND DAUGHTER TEAM and didn't. The POV Zach won at F5 and chose not to use was the dumbest move since Marcellas in BB3 (ironically, both dumb moves involved not using a veto at F5). At least Janie -- with Erika's clever coaxing -- was able to get Will out at F4, which would have been her last likely shot at breaking up Chilltown. Zach couldn't even do that with the Donatos.

This is of course all the more reason why so many of us were pleasantly surprised by BB10, and why we're sadly not likely to see something like it anytime soon again. You basically had three excellent gameplayers (Dan/Memphis/Keesha), one good floater (Rennie) and a very perceptive woman (Libra) who all joined forces at one point to take out Jessie (an example of the kind of idiots BB routinely casts) in a move that altered the game and ultimately gave us the best final two in BB history and the best winner since Dr. Will.

How they got Dan, Memphis, Keesha and Rennie on one season I'll never know. But I'm glad they did.

Adam was not a decent strategist He just got lucky IMO.

Jun was probably my favorite strategist to watch, now that I reflect on the past seasons. She effectively used Allison's more aggressive tactics and let her take the fall for everything, simply by appearing more innocent. She was brilliant, and I called her victory within the first three weeks.

Love Jun.

And she can't be all that bad personally or else Will (smartest, wittiest and most well-adjusted person to ever enter the BB house) wouldn't have been so fond of her.
Eh. Faint praise, in my opinion. Lest we forget Will's other BB BFFs, Mike Boogie, Shannon, Justin, and Krista.

I think that's why I liked BB6 so much. Even though I couldn't stand the Nerd Herd and the final outcome was complete shit, it felt like every person that season (minus Michael and Ashlea) were there to play the game. They were all hardcore gamers, with the wheels in their head constantly spinning. I find that fascinating to watch.
I'm gonna have to disagree on that one. I'd say that BB6 would be sitting towards the bottom of the list if we were discussing seasons with large numbers of competent gameplayers and strategists. I mean, Ashlea, Michael, Sarah, and Beau? Ivette, Jennifer, and Howie certainly possessed no strategic know-how. And Janelle sucked at every facet of the game except the competitions. Even the much-vaunted Big Brother tactician Kaysar proved himself during not one but three separate stays in the house to be all talk and no walk.

The season that you're describing sounds to me like S5. Diane, Nakomis, Karen, Jase, Marvin, Adria, Natalie, Will were all there to play the hell out of the game, and I enjoyed watching every second of it.

Wow, I completely forgot about Kaysar, which isn't surprising. He takes the word overrated to an entire new dimension.

In a word, he fucking SUCKED.

^^ Well like I said, I'm not gonna win you over on Janelle in terms of personal preferences. But my points about Zach and BB players in general still hold.
Kinda. After all, Zach was the fan favorite by the end of the season. His entrance received the biggest amount of applause during the finale and he completely trounced the Donatos in the CBS.com popularity polls. Obviously, the prevailing opinion was that he was a likeable guy.

I for one think that Danielle was the most despicable filth to have ever graced the Big Brother house, and anyone possessing familiarity with the series knows what a statement that is.

I wanted to fucking ring that anorexic cunt's neck every time she wailed and whined "OMG I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MY DAD UGH WHY DO YOU GUYS COME TO ME ABOUT IT WAAAAH." Then of course the second Dick wins HoH she jumps around and screams for joy and basically takes over the HoH bedroom for herself.

That's true, I forgot to what extent Dick himself took indecency, his first name doesn't really do it justice. It's the classic case of the abuser (Dick) and the enabler (Danielle), and the fact they have a rather respectable sized fanbase is disheartening.

So what's everyone's Favorite season/Seasons?

For me it Seasons 2,3,5, and 10.

So what's everyone's Favorite season/Seasons?

For me it Seasons 2,3,5, and 10.

The most recent season, 10, tops my list. For me, last summer was like a the perfect meal: Hearty with drama, delicious with a prime selection of likeable houseguests, and topped off by the most satisfying final two that the program has ever seen. I'm cautiously optimistic that BB11 will bear even the slightest passing resemblance to 10.

Big Brother 5 comes in second place for me if only because of the sheer quantity of strategically-minded, cut-throat gameplayers that season. How that fuckwit void Drew and his numbskulled footstool Cowboy achieved final two status while playing alongside the likes of Diane, Nakomis, Jase, Karen, Marvin, and the Twins boggles my mind.

Six was phenomenal, dramatically speaking. The battle back and forth had me on the edge of my seat every single Thursday evening, knuckles clenched white waiting to see who would win that next Head of Household competition. For that, I have to place this season above a majority of its counterparts. Points deducted, however, for the shoddily-assembled group of competitors. I mean, Beau? Sarah? Ivette? Really?

Seasons two and three I sort of group together. These were the formative years during which the series was still finding its footing. There are times where the show is totally engaging, and others where it just draaags. My opinion of them is still generally positive, though.

All Stars. Hmm. I feel obligated to give the producers credit because they came as close to rounding up the actual BB "All Stars" as they possibly could. Like, I was stunned that they managed to wrangle Nakomis, Danielle, and Will into participating that season. Still, a disappointing outcome.

Four lingers near the bottom of the list. There was simply no one to root for, excepting Erika and Jack. A very unmemorable season. Oh, and Alison is an axe wound.

Eight was, like I said, a trash heap. The only redeeming aspects of that abhorrent, producer-rigged, back-asswards train wreck of a summer were Jen, Zach, and Mike.

However, nine has to be the absolute worst. It was like we had front row tickets for a backyard wrestling competition in an Arkansas trailer park. I consider season nine non-canonical.

Exactly. Even worse, we can probably expect Dick on the second installment of All Stars. I can only hope that Jen is there, wins the first HOH and backdoors old Scrotum Face. That would be so karmic.
Although I despised them in their original respective seasons, I would friggin' LOVE to see a selection of a fierce-ass female contestants like Shannon, Alison, Ivette, and Michelle stuck in the house with LimpDick so that they could tear him to shreds.

I agree for the most part, but don't blame Drew for the sloppy endgames of Diane and Nakomis. Those two showed a lot of promise, but they had ample opportunity to get rid of him (the guy kept winning HOH and no one thought that was a problem??) and they didn't. That's on them. Diane in particular fucked it up by falling for him. I mean she could have had the best F3 situation if she had tried to get Cowboy out earlier. If she had gone to F3 with Drew and Nakomis that would have ensured her place in the finals since neither of those two would take each other to the end. She knew enough to split up Nakomis and Karen (smart move) but not Drew and Cowboy? What was she thinking? She really believed Drew felt the same way about her and would take her to the end based on...love? That makes her gullible and something of a chump at the end.

I agree.

Diane fucked up in the end. That's why Drew and Cowboy made it to the Final 2

And even though Drew sucked as a Person...you gotta admit he was hot as fuck.

Actually, I say screw Dick completely and just do an All-Stars season made up entirely of fierce-ass women.

Um....No. I don't think that they even have enough Females for that and Like Nik I don't wanna see Ivette again.

I'd like to see Ivette... without The Friendship. She wouldn't have much of a chance though because of her reputation

I always took that line as Ivette coming out to her housemates. Translation: "I have respect for women because I'm all up in their boxes."
Lol, I took it as, "I'm an ignorant bitch who believes that all Muslim men are misogynists."

I love that Chenbot laughs at herself with the whole "but first" thing....and Congrats to her and Les!
