So what's everyone's Favorite season/Seasons?
For me it Seasons 2,3,5, and 10.
The most recent season, 10, tops my list. For me, last summer was like a the perfect meal: Hearty with drama, delicious with a prime selection of likeable houseguests, and topped off by the most satisfying final two that the program has ever seen. I'm cautiously optimistic that BB11 will bear even the slightest passing resemblance to 10.
Big Brother 5 comes in second place for me if only because of the sheer quantity of strategically-minded, cut-throat gameplayers that season. How that fuckwit void Drew and his numbskulled footstool Cowboy achieved final two status while playing alongside the likes of Diane, Nakomis, Jase, Karen, Marvin, and the Twins boggles my mind.
Six was phenomenal, dramatically speaking. The battle back and forth had me on the edge of my seat every single Thursday evening, knuckles clenched white waiting to see who would win that next Head of Household competition. For that, I have to place this season above a majority of its counterparts. Points deducted, however, for the shoddily-assembled group of competitors. I mean, Beau? Sarah? Ivette?
Really?
Seasons two and three I sort of group together. These were the formative years during which the series was still finding its footing. There are times where the show is totally engaging, and others where it just
draaags. My opinion of them is still generally positive, though.
All Stars. Hmm. I feel obligated to give the producers credit because they came as close to rounding up the actual BB "All Stars" as they possibly could. Like, I was stunned that they managed to wrangle Nakomis, Danielle, and Will into participating that season. Still, a disappointing outcome.
Four lingers near the bottom of the list. There was simply no one to root for, excepting Erika and Jack. A very unmemorable season. Oh, and Alison is an axe wound.
Eight was, like I said, a trash heap. The only redeeming aspects of that abhorrent, producer-rigged, back-asswards train wreck of a summer were Jen, Zach, and Mike.
However, nine has to be the absolute worst. It was like we had front row tickets for a backyard wrestling competition in an Arkansas trailer park. I consider season nine non-canonical.
