Exactly. Thank you. Janelle was HOH at F5 and was firmly controlled by Will at that point, and so Erika had no reason to believe Janelle would break the tie in Chicken George's favor. It was a Fast Forward eviction and they had no time to discuss it. The two women had a long conversation about all of this afterwards on the live feeds.
I mean...I agree it would have been better to boot Boogie than George, but the fact is Erika had no reason to believe Janelle would go against Will and vote out Boogie, so why cast a lame vote that will just alienate one of her allies later? Also, one can make a reasonable case that Boogie should take Erika to the finals instead of Will because of course he can't beat Will but he can beat Erika! She correctly believed that taking her was a better option for him and so she believed he would do it. Whether or not we think Boogie would have turned on Will or not is irrelevant, at that point it made sense for her to keep Boogie.
I'm sorry J-23, but that's a terrible comparison once you delineate the particulars. Erika may have liked Boogie, but not at the complete expense of her gameplay the way it was with Diane. Here's the comparison:
1. Erika sold out Boogie to save her own ass at F4
2. Boogie had reason to take Erika to the finals over Will
3. Erika got his best friend Will evicted when it mattered
3. Erika essentially placed herself in a terrific F3 position that guaranteed she was going to the finals.
On the flip side:
1. Diane never sold out Drew to save her own ass
2. Drew had NO REASON to take Diane to the finals over Cowboy
3. Diane didn't try to get his best friend Cowboy evicted when it mattered (or ever)
4. Diane essentially placed herself in a horrible F3 situation that all but guaranteed she was not going to the finals.
Sorry, I just don't see it. Erika may have gotten lucky and placed herself in a wonderful position when it came to the F3, but her F4 positioning was HORRIFIC. Did she learn nothing from her first time around? She intentionally chose to be in the house with Will and two people who were guaranteed to take Will to the end. What a fucking joke. I'm an Erika fan and all, but seriously.
And let's get real here, at NO point would Mike have taken Erika to the final two in place of Will. It was much more likely that Drew would have taken Diane. It's not as though having Cowboy sitting alongside him ensured Drew a surefire victory. Don't forget, he only edged out Michael by ONE vote. It was totally within the realm of possibility that Drew would take Diane to the end and then win by receiving Cowboy, Adria, Natalie, and Karen, Nakomis, or Will's votes.
