Re: Madonna's DIVORCE - does anyone care?

7 YEARS OF MARRIAGE? WOW THATS KIND OF SAD.

Re: Madonna's DIVORCE - does anyone care?

I was just at the Madonna concert on Sat. Madonna sang every note live, She even forgot one lyric . A funny thing happened before she sang the song "Miles Away". She said "This song is for the emotionally retarded." I turned to my partner and asked "Did she just say that? She must be mad at her husband". Now the divorce statement shed some light on her comments. Her kids are always with her and so it shall remain. By the way, people don't get divorced for publicity.

I disagree about people getting divorced for publicity. There have been marriages made for publicity, why not the same for divorce? There is no such thing as "bad" publicity...just as long as people are talking about you, it fulfills the need of the media whore personality.
And who really gives a rat's ass if M is married and to whom?

Re: Madonna's DIVORCE - does anyone care?

>>>These people are HUMAN! they are not super humans who can make life easier just becoz they are rich and famous.. they have problems.. prob bigger then ours..

They aren't human, in fact. Not in the abstract. And your last bit is the telling part.

Once you consent to fame - and in the entertainment industry, there IS consent - you give up part of your humanity. Your public persona becomes something bigger and distinct from you. It's watched, idolized, copied, placed under scrutiny, belittled, and demonized. So you might say there's the woman Madonna Ciccone, and there's MADONNA. The two are somewhat distinct, but can't be separated. When MADONNA puts out an album, we wonder what it's saying about Madonna Ciccone. When Madonna Ciccone gets married, MADONNA gets married, as well. When Madonna Ciccone has issues with her husband, it can effect what MADONNA does (witness blueboy's comment). And when Madonna Ciccone gets divorced, well, MADONNA is along for the ride.

One might say the people in this thread aren't being bitchy about Madonna Ciccone - they're being bitchy about MADONNA. And I think Madonna is accepting of that. She knows that's the price of fame. If you're gonna take the positive aspects of it, you can't ignore the negatives.

Aww, Well, I hope it doesnt destroy Madonna inside, Knowing her, her next album will be a masterpiece..

She realeased Like A Prayer Following her divorce from Sean Penn...

So maybe it will inspire her to write some great music..

Re: Madonna's DIVORCE - does anyone care?

I don't care, mainly because its Madonna and I am not a big fan of robot ladies who can't sing but still manage to sell millions of albums. She can't sing live and she flaunts herself like a common mule... disgusting!

Re: Madonna's DIVORCE - does anyone care?

Guy's FINALLY going to be free! Maybe once he unloads the baggage he can go back to making movies!

Re: Madonna's DIVORCE - does anyone care?

She can sing live now. I cannot honestly say that I have seen all of tours, but I know she did not sing in her earlier days; however, I've seen videos of her singing live.

yeah, i think she can sing pretty good live, she knows how to control her voice so its not all over the place...

Re: Madonna's DIVORCE - does anyone care?

So by now we have all heard that Madonna & Guy officially announced there plans to divorce this morning. Does anyone care? Proabably not.

But what I find interesting, is this: Of all the times they could have announced it, they do it in the middle of her Sticky and Sweet tour, the release of his new movie Rocknrolla, and the screenings of here documentary Flith & Wisdom. Convenient coincidence?

It would have made more sense to handle this private family matter when M is not on tour, you know, so she could be motherly and help her kids through the announcement and transition. I guess she can talk to them about divorce in january when she is back home.

It's amazing that a divorce can be used to help them make more money.
Madonna doesn't need more money, honey.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "all over the place." In a couple of videos that I've seen, she was a little pitchy. In that sense, she was all over the place.

Re: Madonna's DIVORCE - does anyone care?

Dont really care. I just hope that she finds happiness sometime in her life

Re: Madonna's DIVORCE - does anyone care?

She sings live now... doesn't mean she should. It just makes her albums more fake because you know that its all technoed and not her real voice. I saw one of her most recent concerts on TV and was actually surprised by how bad she was live. I don't understand why everyone praises Madonna, maybe before when her stuff was good - remember True Blue? That was a good album!

Re: Madonna's DIVORCE - does anyone care?

OK, she is getting divorced. It happens.

She has done so much for the gay community that we should remember that

Many Americans saw their first male on male kiss in 'Truth or Dare". It was a big deal at the time because it was showing "Mr. and Mrs. Average Joe" out there, that there are people different from them.
i was just about to bring that up! (*8*)

and i love Madonna live! i can't wait for her to drop another concert DVD! i'm lovin S&S this is my favorite part [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ndu7fE4xvU[/ame]
and Madonna i wish you all the best!

Re: Madonna's DIVORCE - does anyone care?

No not at all. Stopped being a fan years ago, but I must admit that I sometimes get drawn into the odd song. Madonna was great for me befor the late 90's, aside from Impressive Instinct.
