Re: Madonna "Take A Bow" Concert

take a bow is so stupid and ofcourse because of that fact it is for americans who likes stupid songs like; take a bow or we belong toghether ..

anyway, "get together" is mutch better then that stupid peace of crap

Re: Madonna "Take A Bow" Concert

I always hated that song... no hook, whiney lyrics.. kinda boring and without any form.

Again, we're back to that whole "It's only a big hit if you could play it at a wedding."

I wish some of you guys would start growing some balls and producing testosterone. I swear, you're like a bunch of little old ladies.

Re: Madonna "Take A Bow" Concert

I'm hoping she'll do it again sometime, but for some reason I feel that she grew bored with the songs from Bedtime Stories altogether. :(

because there are no good songs on it? Aside from that "human nature" where she tells people off for getting bored with her and that Bjork song that she sings so out of tune that even Auto-Pitch can't save her, that album is an unremarkable disaster.

Re: Madonna "Take A Bow" Concert

Uhm ....news flash....she can't sing so she definitely can't sing THAT song live. The only reason it sounded good is because Babyface threw every trick in the studio at her.

Re: Madonna "Take A Bow" Concert

I admit, there was quite a bit of filler on that album, but some of the underrated tracks like Love Tried to Welcome Me and Sanctuary were/are overlooked because they aren't obvious "hits".

Those are my 2 favorite tracks on the album, I don't really care that much for the rest of the songs on it (well except for Secret). But my fave Madonna album is probably Erotica which I don't think a lot of people will agree with me on lol...I just like its dark/raw atmosphere I guess

anyway, Get Together did pretty well here and the rest of Europe I think

Yeah Right, Madonna Can Sing, She Has One Of The Most Recognizable Voices In All The history Of Music, Her Voice Has Definatley Grew Over The Years

I think "Bedtime Stories" is one of her best albums, smooth, sensual, just an overall great R&B record, the only reason i think it really stands out is because its so different than any other of her albums.

Re: Madonna "Take A Bow" Concert

Guess soiledwork is smokin' crack. Why the hell would anyone play "take a bow" at a wedding? If you bothered to listen to the lyrics, its about a break-up.

"Bedtime Stories" is one of the absolute best pop/r&b albums of the 90's and still holds up today. Its the perfect bridge CD from "erotica" to the incredible "Ray of Light".

"Get Together" from "Confessions..." deserved to be a huge radio hit not just a club hit but, oh well...

dude, don't worry about who's got the balls around here- check yr brain!..|

don't ask me.

Last wedding I was at they played it. Straight people are so clueless.

It's still a sappy whiner song.

(and I don't care if there's a few victims who liked that album, I think it's a pile of shit. Just about every song sounds like the same boring song over and over again.)

Re: Madonna "Take A Bow" Concert

hmmm... let's see. The acoustic guitar of "Secret", the orchestra on "take A Bow". the urban-street "Human Nature" and the low-key electronica of "Bedtime Stories". None of these songs sound like "the same songs over and over".

Actually this was these most musically diverse CD she had put out to that date.

Funny how your posts to other threads reflect yr fixation on "fat brides wedding songs". And how ironic that the last wedding you attended just happened to play "Take A Bow". hmmm...

I totally agree, this is a very diverse album

But don't you think you should take soilwerks advice and grow some balls and listen to some real testosterone inducing music? In other words, stop listening to the music that you enjoy because someone else seems to have a problem with men expressing themselves in a less than overtly masculine way?

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I Dont know what the fuck your problem is, soilwork never gave me advice to grow some balls, besides I Love Madonna, but that doesnt mean i dont listen to masculine music, hell i listen to Metallica, Megadeath, Anthrax, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, All those so called "testosterone inducing music", So dont go and cop an attitude with me over what i like to listen to.

and plus where did you come up with this, when i said "Bedtime Stories" is a diverse album?

What the fuck are you going on about? I wasn't having a go at you, I was having a go at soilwork for suggesting we should all go and grow some balls and get some testosterone and stop acting like old ladies. Christ, I can almost smell the lack of intelligence here.

I said up above that I thought "Take a bow" was a perfect song. I got defensive about soilwork because I thought he was taking the piss out of everyone for liking Madonna. I likes me Madonna. ..|

Release Date For New Madonna Album

Madonnalicious.com has some exciting news about Madonna's new album:

* It has a tentative release date in the US of Tuesday 11 March

* It has a working title of Connextion - although this will be changed for release

* It currently contains 12 tracks

* "The Beat Goes On" track that was leaked a few months ago actually is the finished product for the album

* Another song is a ballad, much like the tone of Promise To Try but is more about a rebirth than death

* There is another song with a strong techno 'thump' with just Madonna singing, no other musical sound and it works pretty well, almost haunting and stays with you

"The Beat Goes On" has received a tepid (internet) reaction so I'm suprised it's been inculded on the album. Madonna must likey!

Re: Release Date For New Madonna Album

I Actually Really like "the beat goes on" cant wait for the album!!!

Re: Read Madonna's Entire SEX book HERE!!!

I was over at a friend's place a couple weeks ago and we took a look at it.

It really is a cool idea and the execution is surprisingly good. It was supposed to be representative of the bottom-shelf independent porn zines that were really popular at the time. The internet didn't really exist the way it does now and the only way for exhibitionists to exhibit themselves was to make those little xerox-copy booklets of naked poloroids. I had about 30 of them and I regret getting rid of them when I was moving to LA.

The writing is silly but it's supposed to be and although the pictures are rather tame comparred to what it was supposed to be copying, it's extremely daring for a pop star to do what she did.

Madonna is a trail blazer for sure... even when she made a bit of an ass of herself, she never really backed down.

Re: Read Madonna's Entire SEX book HERE!!!

The incident, or the Justify My Love video, prompted Joni Mitchell to ask, "What's the difference between Madonna and a prostitute?".

One of the books about Madonna details her stress during that time...Valerie Harper and women's groups were protesting her shots dressed up as nude little girl with ponytails.
