It has now replaced Ray Of Light as my favourite Madonna cd! It is amazing! The special itunes bonus track Love Spent (Acoustic Version) is so good!

I would not go that far. I hated Give It To Me because A) The video had a remixed version of the song and I thought the original version was edgier and B) The video had so little thought behind it.
For this, the black and white cinematography, a couple of Kazaky members, and Madonna's actual dancing (in the uncensored version) save it for me.

I've always preferred Kylie over Madonna. Madonna is obsessed with getting religious and political debates fired up with her videos... I mean I really don't get it... In the Give Me All Your Luvin video she's got a baby on her teat? Like wtf?
Kylie's music is more enjoyable for me because its more sort of easy, happy pop dance. Madonna has some great songs but sometimes her videos make me go completely wtf. Like seriously....

"MNDA" is her most personal album *ever*.
It's basically a giant FUCK YOU to Guy Richie, (honestly, M, NO "pre-nup" ??? HOW much money is he going to get from you ???)
But, that aside, it's a good, (but not great) album from her.....
The club-ready dance beats are state of the art, but honey, (and I say this as a Madonna fan) it may be time to hang it up....
There is a joy in aging and releasing an album of perhaps just you and a piano, bass and vocal.
But, there's that voice problem, isn't there ?

Also I think it has very little to do with supporting gay rights and more to do with just giving some shock value. But I seriously don't see the point. Lots of artists/celebrities support gay rights, but I think to portray it like this (in a music video that makes no sense at all) is fucking pathetic.

Now she's supposedly "liberated" and can do whatever she wants...although nothing she's done since 1984 has ever really seemed like a corporate decision. The issue seems to be that Lady Gaga took over as the go-to artist with the shocking challenging videos and the gay-friendly lyrics. And rather than go in another direction, Madonna decided to play catch-up. And as such, I don't think she's coming off well. If there are any similarities perhaps its because Gaga used Madonna's collaborator, director Jonas Akerlund, to direct "Paparazzi" and Madonna's stylist Nicola Formichetti to style her for the video. Not to mention that Gaga hired frequent Madonna collaborator and friend, photographer Steven Klein to direct "Alejandro". Just google the above mentioned names and you will see that the people that Gaga hired were working for Madonna for years while Gaga was still doing her homework on her mother's kitchen table.

i think it's safe to say lady gaga basically ran with madonna's own gimmick and left madonna clueless wondering what to do next so she put out this. no offense to all you madonna fans outthere but she's finished. she'll always be a legend but it's like all these legendary singers and musicians that were megastars 20, 15 plus years ago trying to make a comeback to appeal to a younger generation. all she's doing is just soiling her legacy. at this point, she's should just be putting out records for fun which is why the whole idea of her putting out a serious record is laughable. i think she needs to step aside and let it go. it's over. she basically lives on through all these new pop singers that basically are stealing her shit.

Madonna is 53 years old and she's singing an uninspired song about how she's a "wild girl". Puh-leez. It's the stereotypical gay scene that's still buying her albums and buying tickets to her shows, so she's giving them what they want to see. Men.

so, i gave MDNA a couple of spins today...
my first reaction is that its perfectly fine, but not great.
what i like most about MDNA is that its is the first madonna album in ages that doesnt have a stylistic gimmick. its not 'the spiritual album', or 'the disco album', or 'the r&b album'. its just pure unpretentious pop, and actually kinda close to her early albums like 'true blue' and 'like a prayer'; at least in style.
quality is a different question. there is good material, but nothing that blows me away. also, her controversy baiting is coming off as exhausting rather than playful or clever. and her vocals are incosistent; i love her singing on 'masterpiece', but on 'gang bang', her spoken word parts could have a lot more sass.
MDNA doesnt thrill me the way 'ray of light' or 'music' did, but its certainly not a miscalculation like 'hard candy' or 'american life'. i guess good should be good enough, i guess i should stop expecting greatness from madonna.
