So I just read an article over at ugo.com about the new Avengers movie due out in 2011. They have listed their picks for the casting. So I have put together my own cast for the show.

Which characters would you include and who would you cast to play them?

Captain America--Mark Valley
Iron Man--Robert Downey, Jr.
Thor--I like the look of Triple H, But he couldn't pull it off. Kevin McKidd or Vladimir Kulich, but he may be too old now.
Hulk--Edward Norton
Ant Man--Jason Bateman
Wasp--Eva Longoria
Hawkeye--Paul Walker
Black Panther--Djimon Hounsou
The Vision--Doug Jones/Someone Unknown
Scarlett Witch--Milla Jovovich
Quicksilver--James Marsters/Emile Hirsch

Granted, I did take most of the suggestions they gave, but I liked who they suggested. What do ya'll think?

They haven't said who will be in the film, but you can all but guarantee Iron Man, Hulk, Capt. America, Thor and Ant Man as they all have had or will have their own movies in the next two years. The others may or may not be included. Characters like Wolverine and Spiderman won't be included because Marvel studios do not own the movie rights to said characters...which is too bad.

I heard a rumor about John Barrowman (from Torchwood) in talks to play Cap. I really doubt it though.

I can't wait! The Marvel movies have really hit their stride and I have enjoyed almost all of them...
 
Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner in the same movie! I think I just sprained my sphincter.
 
I'm surprised they haven't announced a separate Hawkeye movie yet!

And I am actually to excited to see Scarlett Johannson back as Black Widow.

I'm hoping she does as well. I know during an interview on the red carpet Scarlett J and Jeremy Renner were saying Hawkeye gets a lot of action in this film, so I'm hoping Widow is included as well. :gogirl:
 
I actually went to see a lot of the comic book themed movies this summer and was very pleased with the way that they were done. Even the Green Lantern was awesome. I hope that they continue in this mode but also never forget that there is a huge comic book reading audience too. Artistic license is OK to a degree but should not be too detracting from the origin and story line of the super hero. Great job Marvel and DC these recent movies are awesome!!!
 
The Avengers

Such a fun film. Joss Whedon is a genius and everyone was wonderful. Full of action and a good sense of humour. Also, lots of guy-candy!
