Re: Excuses why Whitney Houston didn't get Grammy nominations?
....and that's ok that you feel that way. But the same can be said for just about every other album that WAS nominated. Mostly mediocre material. Nothing "special" Regardless of your opinion, at the very least Whitney's album had more SUCCESS than many of the albums which the voter's nominated. WORLDWIDE SUCCESS, at that. Not just success in the U.S. And regardless of what YOU think of the album, it was still critically acclaimed by most critics/reviews. It got MOSTLY solid/positive reviews and great high ratings all across the board. MOST reviews were hailing it as a great comeback effort for Whitney, with solid contemporary songs on it. The album was critically acclaimed. More so than some of the albums CHOSEN to be nominated. Simply ridiculous. And like what the guy from Billboard said, it was a shocking UNEXPECTED misstep. Hence the "shock" from so many people....
The album is mediocre at best.

"Million Dollar Bill" STILL hanging in there. Close to being #1 (again). Already was a #1 club hit.
