The Truth About Gay Asians...an Article

Sorry, huntneo, but I've met more than a few asians who were into only asians.

Sticky rice.

And, believe me, from personal experience, I can tell you that many aren't interested in older guys...

btw...I thought blacks were at the bottom of the 'desirability hierarchy'? We've moved up a notch?

Blacks? Who are stereotyped to have the biggest penises? "Once you go black you never go back"?

I've NEVER heard a good asian stereotype (aside from slim and hairless) or a statement of "once u go asian u never go back." EVER.

Or something stupid like, "once you go yellow, you'll never want another fellow"? :D

There are guys of all races who have a tendency towards white men(myself included) [...] I've fetishized many white men in my day.

Would you be able to explain your attraction to white guys? Is it EXCLUSIVELY to white guys, or would you be open to dating a Latino, black or Asian guy?

Your perspective could add to the discussion, at least.

Well, the gay community is very openly racist toward Asians. I've spoken to dozens of gay dudes who flat-out admit that they aren't interested in Asians at all. On the other hand, i've spoken to older white dudes who have an Asian fetish. In these Cauc/Asian™ relationships or encounters, the Asian guy is ALWAYS the bottom. The top basically sees him as a feminine, subservient little thing he can ravish. It's just like straight white guys with Asian women.

Your location says you're from Portland. The article in the OP says that Asians in California are far more likely to be "sticky" than they are on the East Coast. Maybe it's just because you're on the West Coast, then?

My first (and only) relationship was with an Asian guy. Same age, and no, I wasn't the top. I thought it was normal... was I wrong?

I think this might only apply to Asians living in West. I don't get the white fetish. I live in an East Asian country so to me, white people are just as desirable as East Asians. Most, if not all, of the gays here are East Asians and they prefer to date other East Asians. People with darker skins or from different races (usually Indians, Arabs and Africans) are "undesirable". It's nothing new. Let's face it. Most people are just not interested in other colors. If you're not white or East Asian white, you are either going to be a fetish or that token guy these people date to make themselves feel better. Once in a while, you will meet someone who will love you for who you are -- a person and not a color. I don't think it comes as a shock when I say most gay people are pretty choosy and blunt in the race department when it comes to forming a relationship with someone.

It's the smaller ethnic communities within the country that suffer this ridiculous "I-only-date-[insert main race]-guys" syndrome.

It has also to do with a certain race being more "successful". I like people who have great jobs and fine salaries, and thanks to race statistics, it becomes ingrained that race x is more successful and hence makes more evolutionary sense to mate with race x that is "stronger" and has "survived and is able to provide". It sounds like total bullshit, most likely is totally bullshit but I theorize this explanation according to my own needs and preferences when dating.

I met people who think that my race and my color is just simply ugly. I don't want to be like them and so I told myself that I refuse to let race and color interfere with dating and love. And yeah, I've met great guys thanks to my politically correct direction in dating.

As an Asian, I would date you if you're financially secure and you know how to drive and park well. Really, those are my standards.

For all you queens with white thirst you're missing out on this brown delight.

There are gay asians?? Who knew?

Well, there is no better demonstration of how the western culture view east asian descent people as inferior than hollywood. Most people can't even name one hollywood made movie where the asian guy gets the girl at the end. Hell, they made dragon ball z and they used a white actor to play an asian part just so people wouldn't have a gag reaction.

Those who deny such racism exist in the western community, I say to you please continue to live in your fantasy land. The first step in solving any problem is to recognize that it exists. I've found that when this issue of racism against asian men is brought up people would usually deny up and down that it exists. No wonder east asians have been fighting for civil rights for 40 years and hasn't gone anywhere. People keep denying it exists.

Chinese actors Jackie Chan, and Jet Li have made films in Hollywood, in starring roles, and apart from their martial arts performances, have also been permitted to chase skirt.

Are they exceptions that we should ignore?

What I've found in my limited experience is that Asian guys are more likely to be into (or at least dating) older guys than other races. So, there may be plenty of Asian guys out there into other Asian guys, but there are more Asian guys dating older men than guys of other races if you take it as a percentage.

I haven't done a study, so it could just be my personal experiences, but it's what I've found nonetheless.

For some reason I can't see the link o.o

But I'm up for dating anyone. I feel physically attracted to a guy who could be any race, but what matters the most is a caring guy. My ex was taller, a bit overweight and white, but I wouldn't be opposed to dating someone who's Latino or Asian. Race doesn't mean anything to me. I admit, though, when I was younger I would be attracted to white guys. I grew up on Long Island in a suburb where mainly white people resided. As I got older I got into Asians and Latinos. Now I just don't need to discriminate.

1/they are the un-hot ones
2/ they are not sex symbols.
3/ they are not "born in the USA"

Yes, you are right. All is accurate.

* a warning sign is when all the advertising posters in Asia uses white models ...

I've never seen either or those men in roles other than martial arts roles...wikipedia me some articles (am I allowed to use wiki as a verb?)

...
and yes they're allowed to chase skirts but even so, the focus is on their martial arts.

perhaps a better way of talking about Asians in the media is...while there are a few Asians in Western media, their roles are extremely limited (or something like that)

Jackie Chan has played the starring role in several Hollywood made films.

I love getting it for dessert at Thai restaurants.

I felt weird ordering the first time, though, because I was almost prepared for two Asian guys having sex to be brought out to my table.

I thought something similar once I found out about the sexual meaning for the term.

i personally don't feel sexual attraction for Asians like Koreans,Chinese, Vietnamese,Japanese,Mongolians etc.but i do find very sexually appealing men from India, Pakistan ,Bangladesh, filipine, etc.i love blond man,Arabs, Latinos(non white).i'm very choosy when it comes to black men,if they are too dark, then i don't have any sexual desire for them. And my gosh...!!,men from Persia like afghans, are my delight.

i don't find anything wrong when people prefer one race and find other races not sexually appealing.it is human nature,it doesn't mean racism.

i'm from southern Italy,so i have black eyes and hair, and my skin is naturally tanned, but not dark,so i'm mediterranean looking.Americans think that i'm hispanic, and even latinos do.i have found that in this country if you don't have blue eyes you are not consider that good looking at all,i don't blame them coz i loooooove blue eyes too.

i have met some american boys that when i tell them i'm Italian, they become very interested in me,and i suddenly become desired by them.so i guess some people even have preference for certain nationalities, that really seems very stupid to me.
