The Walking Dead [merged]

lol Bob had a death flag on him basically throughout this whole episode though. Like I thought he was going to get bit when that one walker jumped out of the water.

My brother has a theory that he was bit like Hersall and them cutting his legs off saved him though I doubt it I think that Bob was putting up a façade all episode and it finally got to him. No one talks about the horrors they do or what is done on them so it is bound to build up. BTW I so what the Cannibal leader whose name I never learned from last season dead very quickly lol.

I thought that too but the infection spreads fast so they would need to amputate his leg really close to the moment of being bitten. I guess he was crying about something else..

The cannibalism is a good focal point in the story showing the ugly bad humans and the good remaining aspect of humanity. In the season opener the scene was shocking. The cold callus way, the institutionalized manner in bringing the people up to the trough to be slaughtered and bled out. Then when thinking about it I realized it was shocking because they were doing it to other humans, like me. Realizing the scene is similar to what is carried out on cattle or pigs everyday by workers supplying meat to the grocery store.

In the depressing but well done post-Apocalyptic movie "The Road" humans turn to cannibalism because everything is wiped out and dying. There are no animals, there are no plants. There is no choice if you want to live.

In TWD the animals and plant life remain. Hunting, fishing, farming, collection of native edible plants is a viable option. While hard to get and shortages are a way of life it can be done.
The lazy way to slaughter and eat humans is depraved and evil here.

Also finally the zombies are falling apart, only took 2 -1/2" yrs in the zombie world. They are getting more skeleton like and less rotted flesh covered. If the series makes it another 2 yrs there will be very few zombies. Very few humans too. The series is headed that direction with living humans being the real threat over the zombies anyway.
I think next season will be the last 2015. I understand it was already renewed for season 6.

Biting doesn't infect. At the end of season 1, Rick learned that EVERYONE is infected. Death turns you into a walker. Bob was going to the woods to die, yes, but it won't do anything to Gareth & crew.

One thing I found interesting was his comment about it being "cosmic justice"... does this mean that Bob betrayed them earlier in the apocalypse, possibly before he joined the crew in season 4? Anyone else have insight?

Andrew J. West is HOT! Dayuuum.

Well, I can't say I was too sad to see Bob go. He is the reason Beth's boyfriend died, then he jeopardized the team at the vet hospital with his bag of booze and then he got all Mary Poppins during his romance with Sasha.

Yeah, I was hoping Gareth would stay around awhile longer. I knew he probably wouldn't last as long as the Governor did. But thought he would last longer than 4 episodes.

Having the Cannibals as a background threat for more episodes would have been good but damn they did need there comeuppance but then again there maybe more out there and I think they are bringing a dude from the comics in who has a baseball bat and is mega nuts. I don't think that was Carol and Beth with Daryl judging from his face.

My hunch is that it is someone we haven't seen from the group that is holding Beth. Darryl and Carol got captured by them when trying to track them down. They told Darryl to lead them to his gang. Darryl agreed only because they threatened to kill Carol if he didn't cooperate. Just a hunch. But I have been wrong many times with this show Although I was right in the beginning of last season when I said it was leading to cannibals and the hunters.

It's probably Morgan...he followed the group into the woods...he's gotta appear sometime.

Except that the scene where they showed him on their trail at the end of the season premiere, it was a long time after the events at Terminus. You could tell because the vines growing on the "No Sanctuary" sign were much taller than when Rick changed the sign. And the paint was faded. So I don't think Morgan meets up with them until much later. And Darryl and Morgan never met before.

Judging from Daryl's face and S5 trailer, I think is Noah (new character) with Daryl.

My thoughts:

Timeline: Daryl and Carol follow the car. Their car breaks down, and as Daryl is away, the cops come by and "save" Carol. Daryl sees them leaving, and follows.
Beth breaks Noah out.
Noah sees Daryl following the car, and tells him it isn't worth it and he'll need more men.
Beth sees Carol on the gurney in the hospital.

Next week's episode is based off Abraham and company, so it may not get resolved for a little bit.

Saw Walking Dead last night and not only was that a pretty sweet episode, this season in general has been pretty awesome so far.

Tbh I was getting kind of bored of Beth as I felt she never really had anything to contribute besides a possible love interest to Carl.. which never happened. But when this episode aired it made me change completely how I felt about Beth. I think Carol let herself be caught to infiltrate the hospital. It's likely that she was aware where the black cars with white crosses were going so she let herself be caught to get Beth.

Still bummed that the whole accumulation of Terminus that was last season literally ended up in smoke in the first episode of this season. haha :P

I think Daryl is bringing back Morgan, just a hunch.

And of course the group should never have split up.

Oh, and maybe I'm just a whore but would it be so bad to service a bunch a cops in exchange for security and food?

Finally I like Beth. Brilliant episode. I'm going with Carol influtrating them angle too. God I hate when they do a Lost and leave you hanging for a few weeks lol.

Huh? In the zombie apocalypse in exchange for security and food? I'd be on my back workin' it!

Anyhow, I knew Eugene was a fake! But now the show has split into three camps so who knows when they'll get back to that storyline. I thought Daryl and Carol were gone from the rest of the group for just one night but the previews make it look like a few days, if not more!
