The Walking Dead [merged]

This week's episode was ok if anyone didn't see the Eugene revelation I want to slap them sussed that in the last season. Anyway wtf was up with Abraham? Was he an abusive partner? Did he just attach himself to that woman and her kids? I mean come on vague much.

Don't count on actual gay sex scenes with Darryl. Or even a gay relationship. It's more likely the writers will briefly have it mentioned in a brief conversation that Darryl is gay, and that will be the end of that. And I would be ok with that. It would basically just explain why he never made a move on Carol or Beth in the scenes where he seemed very close to each of them.

So I see this hasn't been mentioned but in the last Talking Dead, Robert Kirkman was on and stated that Darryl is NOT gay. He did say that there will be a gay character from the comics in the second half of season 5. So there's that!

Yeah I had seen that. Oh well. At least they didn't have him come out, immediately followed by him getting killed off by walkers. . .

There's already a gay character in Tara. There is not a person in the series, male or female, who is clean enough looking for me to consider. Post-ZA I would probably become celibate.

Oh that's right! I totally forgot about her. Though to comment on that, she is not from the comics. (not that it takes away from having someone gay on the show)

Okay, so as we are waiting for the rest of the season to resume on February 8th, I think now is a good time to take assessment of TWD. Unlike Z Nation, TWD is wandering with no clear plot other than to survive. That's fine, but how long can our beloved crew encounter villains without the story line tiring?

I want to know more about the zombie virus. What or who caused it? How can EVERYONE have it? How can walkers continue to move when their bodies are in complete decay? Here's another question "Are they really alive?" That would explain a lot. TWD needs to start appealing to the hardcore TWD fans like myself who want to learn something(s) more about all of this. If not, they will begin to lose their audience.

Anyhow that's my stance and I'm sticking by it.

Oh, and maybe I'm just a whore but would it be so bad to service a bunch a cops in exchange for security and food?

But to be forced to whenever and however they chose it, with you as nothing more than a slave? Might as well go out and get bit, you'd at least retain your freedom 'til the end.

Think of TWD like Seinfeld. It's a show about nothing, which happens to have zombies. Apparently, ratings prove that audiences like shows about nothing.

As long as the comic series continues from which the show is based, they will have material.

The show thrives on drama as much as the action. A large portion of fans are women and gay men, who of course love drama.

I think that there is an overall plan. I think the goal here is to keep the viewers in suspense and confusion. Sort of how the characters feel.

I agree. How quickly people forget that just 3 episodes ago, there was a possible "cure" via Eugene's survival. That doesn't eliminate the possibility of a cure, it just ain't comin' from him. My guess is we'll meet someone soon who will have some answers

All suspense and all confusion is no suspense and no confusion. Here's the plot:

Lull, baddies, someone dies, lull, baddies, someone dies. Seriously. The writing had better get smarter or the vieiwers are going to tire of this show. The writers and producers need to add some new components to the show and imo that needs to be getting to the heart of the apocalypse, NOT yet another diabolical villian!

Now that I think of it, the best seasons were 1 and 2 and then someone was fired. I forgot who and the actor that played Shane left too and I think because of the firing. I was on the edge those two seasons and there were no over-the-top villains!!!!

Well, says a lot that I had to grave dig this thread!

I was NOT happy with last night's episode. It was weird and hokey and a waste. Me thinks this show is beginning to think too highly of itself. Tyrese dies at the hand of a walker boy -- who cares. Serves him right for getting all sappy looking at those photos! Dork.

Wonderful episode last night. It was so unique, different, and just beautifully artistic. Bravo to all involved. And of course RIP Tyrese. 7 more episodes left in the season, and I can't wait to see where they take us next.

Even though I already saw it I'm sure any who missed it would have appreciated a spoiler alert warning on that.

But yes it was an excellent episode.

Well considering the fact that the poster right before me "vacancy3" had already spoiled it(and maybe you should say something to him as well) I didn't feel that me putting A spoiler warning would have mattered. But yes never the less you make A very good point though I should always remember to use spoiler warnings regardless, and I will try to remember to be more considerate of others.
