It's because most don't have internet, they preach killing the gays in the Mosque.

Islamic extremist and terrorist as very well connected to the internet, almost as well as our enforcement agencies in the US.

Why do people think these people all live in caves sending smoke signals to each other of when to commit terror? I am talking about the terrorists, not the regular people. Then again, I bet yall think they send smoke signals to each others inviting the Husseins to a dinner party.

Have people forgotten the story of the undersea cables getting cut which restricted acces to the internet in the middle east? They all have internet. Well the ones who aren't being invaded by the US.

Asking why you stay is the same as telling you to go away?

That is how I read it. When you ask someone why they are here, it usually menas you think they should not be. It is really simple logic.

we really need to stick together as a group to show jub that we deserve the same respect as everybody else. just because we're not a part of the "superstar" list doesn't make us less worthy as members of this community. it is time to stop the favoritism in jub and to start recognizing that all of us are important and that we all deserve the same respect, christians or not.

Do you see how many people have lined up to try and refute what we know to be true? There is a great deal of defensiveness going on here. If they know that it is wrong to do, then rather than lie about it and pretend it does not happen, why not simply promise not to do it and that would be that? Instead they have to go through all of these denials...I just don't get it...

I have already answered this. When someone makes the statement "what are you doing here" it is implied that you feel they do not belong. It is really quite simple.

Basically I am stating that the christians who get bashed on here are the evil bad christians (think rev. phelps etc) and so far I have not been proven wrong??? I almost forgot apparently I said that gay were not capable of hate and bigotry

Re: Hate. The Christian Right took power about 16 years ago. They are in a politically psychological position to pull the hate strings while simultaneously "feeling the love." Nowhere in the Bible does it say that they have to think carefully about what they've been doing. [Well, actually it does.]
There are also several factions of Christians that are collectively, but not equally responsible for the current atmosphere of alienation. People need to learn some basics. A bit of agit-prop that might make the mutts yelp in one sect of Christians will only make them stare incomprehendingly
in another. It just won't make sense to them and you're just being irrational and mean.

And then it (the hate, that is) gets traded back and forth. Back and forth. Back and forth. Back and forth. Back and forth.

Oh yes, it is the Christians who are responsible for everything. The intolerant bigoted gay God hating fascists have no responsibility for any of the negativity here. None at all.

You seem to be at a loss about what debate means my friend. You take any challenge to your statements as "an attack on your religion", and yet refuse to debate the article/fact/idea presented. Instead, you cower behind "OMG! Haters! I feel oppressed."

What has your religion done for gay people? Name one thing. Seriously.

When I see some self respecting christians stand up for what they believe in, and stop allowing people like phelps to speak for them maybe then I will start a thread.

I consider myself to be a pretty goo Christian in so far as I try to love my neighbour and I am not a part of the "kill the fags" choir. The problem with you is that we who have no reason to hate anyone do not start threads to that effect.

Would you like to see a thread saying "I do not hate anyone"? What kind of sense would that make? The threads that get the attention are the "We hate..." threads or the "Look at his big..." threads. Those of us who are not carrying a chip on our shoulders do not feel the need to start a thread announcing it. It is only the bitter haters who need to do that.

I have no problem with the "Look at his big..." threads, as that is what this forum is all about. But what I do mind is when people feel the need to start threads simply looking to express their hatred of someone or someone's religion. It is wrong. Period.

No matter how many of you rise up to defend it, it will still always remain wrong!

Funny, no one other than Marley on this thread (or almost all of the others I have read) never post on positive steps their "christian" church is taking regarding gay issues, and equality. Why is that? Why is it when you are called to task, you squeal like stuck pigs?

What has "your religion" ever done for gay people? Hey the Unitarians and Episcopalian faiths have advanced gay rights. What has your "so called christian" faith done? Anything? Anything at all?

Why do so many radical right pseudo-christian churches use the gay issue as a hate/wedge issue? Because it raises incredible amounts of money, that's why. They know that all they have to do is send out a direct mail piece begging for money to "fight the fags" and "abortionists", and the petty, small minded morons of Americana will step up and send them millions of $$$ to spew their hate. They are despicable and worthy of eternal destruction.

While your venomous hatred for Christians is palpable and disgusting, I must acknowledge my agreement with you on one thing.

Many Americans are more than happy to jump on the bandwagon when asked to support some agendas of hate. That says more about this country and its backwards provincialism and lack of any culture than it does about religion. Hate is not a religion. There are people who will infuse hate into religion, but that does not make religion all about hate, and it shows a great ignorance on the part of those who believe that it is.

Why? Why? Because hypocrisy is the worst of it all. For all the self-righteousness of "God is Love", "Jesus is love", and "Love thy neighbor", all of a sudden radical right christian groups don't like it when their own hypocrisy is exposed. Which group claims it is about "love" and "the betterment of mankind"? Christians or gays? Why is it that the phrase "judge not, lest you be judged" comes to mind?

Do you even read what you write when you are writing judgmental condemnation on an entire group of people with no regard for whether you are even right or not, or whether your words are hurtful to others. It is that kind of self indulgent selfishness for which gays have become known and not exactly for no reason, either.

No I certainly don't think I am the only nice person. If you would have read my post maybe you would have understood where I am coming from. I am not judging good christians or bad christians. What I am saying is due to the fact that the gay hating christians get all the press of course gays are going to have a problem with them.

Secondly what I am expressing is, why do so many supposed good christians let these terribly biggoted people be their voice. Why are you not standing up in numbers and denouncing them

LOL. Hate? Me hate radical christians? No. I view them as wolves. Would I hate a wolf for biting me? No, it is in the wolfs nature. So as it is with radical groups. Thru education and enlightenment comes acceptance.
