Time to Discuss the 2016 Presidential Election

Ben continues to pretend his absolutely mistaken assertions are actually facts. In the delusion Olympics, Ben takes Gold.

For the right-wing, fear is their animating principal. Fear of the black president, fear of immigrants, fear of Latinos and African-Americans, fear of feminists, atheists, fear of socialist, Muslim Kenyans, fear of the government, fear of the Catholic Bishops, fear of Jews, Islamaphobia. They love the chicken-hawk warmongers who never went to war and want to send everyone else's child to war. It's ironic that the people who venerate the courage of the troops are so afraid of everything.

Bring uo this old thread I see I was very wrong predicting O'Malley and Walker. But I was correct that immigration would be the main issue. I certainly did not forsee Trump. I did point out the problem of most Republican candidates being Catholic with the bishops wanting amnesty and immigration, and I feel vindicated, in that while the issue was never spoken, all the Catholic, pro immigration candidates were voted out of the race, leaving the only anti immigrantion, anti refugee, Trump as the improbable survivor. With immigrants bombing, shooting and stabbing Americans, and the problem escalating, he has a real possibility of winning, based, in my opinion, primarily, on that issue.

You resurrected a dead thread just to tell us something you've been yapping about for months in just about every thread you open up?

Others may wish to compare what they said/predicted back then.

You mean, like you? I didn't see anyone else make a prediction. You have a special way of derailing even the threads you start.

On a side note, I think you are way too obsessed with this forum. I mean, I didn't even remember this thread. Why on earth you dug it up after all this time is beyond me.

We are SO close to a one party dictatorship. The massive immigration is working.

You are partly correct.
The Republicans have been aiming to get the presidency, as well as the Senate and Congress, and they plan to irrevocably change the makeup of the Supreme Court.

Takes a special kind of evil to try to undermine democracy to that degree. I've heard they're even talking about removing human rights from citizens and actively discriminating against minorities and new immigrants. No doubt they'll want all citizens armed and spied upon, if they're not in private prisons.

Somehow, hyperbole fits the current Republican party more comfortably. Given Trump is their candidate, ridiculousness has transformed into policy.

Did Texas have a sudden influx of millions of immigrants? That's the only way it can be turned into a toss up state in a matter of weeks.

If there was no sudden influx, then your argument is a total waste of time and it's all Trump's doing. Not immigrants.

The nice thing about Ben is that there's never a discussion.

I finally found an article which agrees with my opinion that electing Hillary means the end of our democracy on the national level, and he does even not mention the flood of democrat-immigrants. If you want to know why voting for Trump, as bad as he is , is better than voting for Hillary, see this.It is the dismal future of our country. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2016...ve-chosen-our-leaders-for-rest-our-lives.html

And he finally found something on Fox. Must be tough not being able to cite hate sites.

If you want to know why voting for Trump, as bad as he is , is better than . . .

Honestly. Who pitches his candidate as the "hold your nose and just do it" pick? Who?

That's not even a convincing compromise pitch. It's just plain old tacit concession that your man blows, and not in the good way.
