I don't know really. I think it's good how all us minorities have a single group to be stuck into, but at the same time, I don't like the fact that I myself am lumped into a group I don't want to be part of.

I'm gay, I don't have a problem with gays, I love being gay, but I don't want to be in the same group as transsexuals, lesbians and bisexuals...I don't reeally have a reason for it other than selfishness or some other evil feeling it seems. It doesn't really make sense, but I just don't like it.
And with transsexuals, in a similar vain to the way heterosexuals think about gays, "It's ok as long as they're not all in my face about it"... I just can't get to grips with transseexuality. I know they're normal people like you and I, but if I met one I would just feel really awkward.

I'm not trying to bash anyone or start a war, it's just how I feel.

Wow, that's totally fucked up. Replace lesbians/bisexuals/transexuals with "Black people", then read your post. Does "just how I feel" still sound like a valid reason?

No, I know it's weird.

But like I said, it's good that we have the big LGBT group, that is the righht thing, we shouldn't change it. But I don't understand transsexuals, I can't help feeling awkward around them. It's their choice what they do, I don't condemn them for it, if someone feels so strongly that they're born in the wrong body and want to change, hell yeah, go for it. Power to the people! But I would just feel awkward and nervous if I was face to face with one and thats one of my own shortcomings.
So no, the fact I just feel that way doesn't cut it, but I can't help feeling the way I feel, can I?

Apart from that I have no problem with lesbians and bisexuals (and by using the word 'problem', I don't mean to suggest transsexuals are a 'problem'), apart from the fact that they both like vagina, which, being gay, I can't understand
And the reason I don't like the LGBT thing personally is because I just don't like the label, maybe I care too much of what people think and I know when a lot of people think of transsexuals or bisexuals they don't see them positively, and I don't like how when people see the acronym LGBT they think of gays too, and might stereotype me. I really don't know what it is or how to explain it, and like I said, I don't want to be controversial, make people hate me or seem like I'm bashing anyone.

^Everyone has some sort of tendency towards bias. You're just admitting yours. Thanks for sharing!

It must be the week of resurrecting dead threads.

To be honest, I don't know if I know a single bisexual person who considers themselves part of the community at all.

So much for all of us that spend time on the site, go to protests, give speeches. etc.

On the other hand how you have talked about bi guys, I doubt you would know many, if at all.

There's a bit of self-selection there, isn't there?

My answer was this is Bullshit! If you are not straight then you are in the LGBT PERIOD!
