I don´t "justify", I go deeper than the appeal to this or that belief or rights which, you are right, would stupidly leave me on both her and you universe of "mere" beliefs, I try to abstract myself from that universe of beliefs and prejudices to analyze both her and your acts, OUR acts in the light of a, if you want to call it academically that way, a "theory" trying to explain what determines her actions, your posts, all our course of reasoning and dealing and not dealing with beliefs and arguments.

So basically this post translates to: "I know I've lost so now instead of addressing the argument I am going to contradict my previous argument while making it confusing enough so the other guy hopefully doesn't understand."

I know this is what happens when you try to make people think, and when you try to develop and put into practice the airy ideals they so firmly seem to understand and defend, but I really needed this exercise, and the harder the better because that is what my work will have to face out there.
So, honestly, thank you, my guinea-pig NameT. :mrgreen:

Lol, I thought usually the person experimenting has a) a conrtol b) an idea of what the hell they were doing and c) a REAL argument or purpose

Not a social experiment, a training for me when trying to expose my ideas to anyone out there. My minor thesis (no, I haven´t handed it over yet since I learned I had a right of another year to do so) proposes that we can´t efficiently deal with the "problems" of communication until we face the issues I try to make see to that dumbhead who let his own name be stolen... but that is something that only interested a couple of forumers a few months ago :mrgreen: and I´m sorry I may appear like a haughty high-brow, but I´m one of the first ones to be accused of making stupid senseless posts, so if you want to really discuss real issues let´s try doing it and not just repeating the old trited senseless ready-made phrases made pass for arguments.
My academical training was in translation, not in social sciences :rolleyes:

I'm affraid you will need more practise and to be more understanding if you are to suceed. Small observed point for this evening.
 
I can appreciate the fact that you're trying to be objective in your arguments and that does come across. I can sense you're trying very hard to empathise with that veiled woman. However I feel that there is confusion in your arguments over belief because I can't really sense your core argument and there seems to be some red-herrings in some places. Beliefs indeed are not the ultimate end of the universe and with time they do change. Views of homosexuality are an example of this.

But I don't get this thing with certainty over Religion and what is really making Europe "sick" in your opinion? It can't be due to just the decline in beliefs in religion or the increasing dominace of Science (ironic really when medical science has dramatically improved quality of life).

If your thesis is based on an argument so easily shot down by an 18 year old in A Levels then I fear for your thesis! And usually only peopel with a minimal amount of intellect can appear to be high-brow, so you don't need to worry about that one!

And I only started doing them this year, like only 1.5 months ago (this is my 4th school in 4 years which is why I'm a grade behind for my age now X_X), lol.
 
It´s not to impress, ask Hoodedrat why I use that... oh, of course, one has a right to individuality only to a certain extent... where´s a thread about "the rights and beliefs of the mass and the individual" to teach me the difference between assimilation by the Borg-like and just being like everyone else?
