Humor-Satire Trump Staff Picks, Co-Conspirators and the Revolving Door of Departures [2024 Edition]

^Her little speech, probably written for her by Stephen Miller, praised "the leadership of Donald". When she said she didn't remember the chat or where she was when she was at the time of the chat, I was thinking, "You're the friggin' Director of National Intelligence and you can't remember where you were or what you were doing during a major military strike on Yemen?".

She needs to go.

Even I remember the chatter about Signals being hacked by the Kremlin.

In this case though, I wonder if it wasn't purposive...to let rrrZZZia know what was going to take place without using official channels.

They could have gotten so many service members killed.

And except for some yelling at them...they will get away with it and they will do it again next time.

Sen. Tammy Duckworth calls on Pete Hegseth to resign:

"Pete Hegseth is a f*cking liar. This is so clearly classified info he recklessly leaked that could've gotten our pilots killed. He needs to resign in disgrace immediately."

The White House is withdrawing nominees.

On this one, they're getting scared that this seat might flip and give Democrats control of the US House.

Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Jim Risch said Thursday he’s been notified that Rep. Elise Stefanik’s nomination to be US ambassador to the United Nations will be withdrawn by the White House.

The White House had been engaged in discussions about pulling the nomination amid concerns about slim margins in the House of Representatives, according to two sources familiar with the conversations.

The nomination had languished amid a reality the razor-thin House Republican majority could complicate passing some of the president’s top agenda initiatives.

On the CDC Director position, former US House member Dave Weldon [R-FL] is another vaccine conspiracy nut, he couldn't get enough Senate votes to be confirmed.

The White House withdrew its nomination of Dr. Dave Weldon to serve as the director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, two Trump administration officials familiar with the decision told CNN, with the news coming less than an hour before Weldon’s confirmation hearing was set to begin Thursday morning.

The hearing, held by the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee – which voted Thursday to advance the nominations of Trump’s picks to lead two other health agencies, the US Food and Drug Administration and the National Institutes of Health – was abruptly cancelled.

In the past, the CDC director has been appointed to lead the office, but the nominee will require approval by the Senate starting this year.

Rumors are going around DC that Hegseth was drunk during the Yemen bombing Signal chat. Democrats smell blood and Republicans are desperately trying to find a way to make it all go away.

From Richard Ojeda:

"JD Vance just humiliated America on the world stage. Standing in Greenland, he backed Trump’s absurd fantasy of “taking over” the country—yes, seriously—and claimed Greenland would get a better deal with the U.S. than Denmark. That’s not diplomacy, that’s extortion. The kicker? Nobody in Greenland even wanted them there. The delegation showed up uninvited, and not a single local agreed to host them. The Premier himself said they were unwelcome. It was so embarrassing, they had to scurry off to a U.S. military base for a three-hour pit stop before leaving with their tails between their legs. JD Vance isn't building alliances—he’s torching America’s credibility abroad."

I know someone who was stationed at the military base in what was then called Thule (now called Pituffik Space Base). He said that it was the coldest and darkest winter of his life. It rarely gets above 0F in the winter. I guess no one told Mr and Mrs Vance that they were going during the coldest time of the year?

He was way underdressed for the weather.

P.S. He's apparently also unaware that "shit" isn't cold.

'Cold as shit': US VP Vance visits Greenland despite frosty ties

"It's cold as shit here. Nobody told me," the vice president said as he greeted troops, with temperatures reaching minus 18 degrees Celsius.

"Apparently I am the first vice president to ever visit Greenland, so that's a pretty cool thing," he told the military personnel during his introductory remarks, adding that he flew over "some pretty cool spots" to get to the base.

The Pituffik Space Base - the northernmost US military facility in the world - provides crucial missile warning and space surveillance capabilities.

Vance's office said the vice president would receive a briefing on "Arctic security issues."

Also, "ass" isn't cold... well, maybe his wife's is.

He was joined by other deplorables, including soon-to-be-fired Mike Waltz. Surprisingly, Waltz was allowed to return to the US!

The vice president was joined on his whirlwind stop in the Arctic by second lady Usha Vance, national security adviser Mike Waltz, Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee.

The people of Greenland are selling hats to commemorate the US officials' visit:

So Hegseth is just dragging the wife and his brother (who he once again improperly now hired) into meetings where confidential issues are being discussed?

Are these his support animals/sobriety coaches who are supposed to listen and take notes so that they can tell him later what was said?

Somebody has to do the job of running errands to the liquor store now that Pete is too busy to go himself.

But his emails!
Members of President Donald Trump’s National Security Council, including White House national security adviser Michael Waltz, have conducted government business over personal Gmail accounts, according to documents reviewed by The Washington Post and interviews with three U.S. officials.

The use of Gmail, a far less secure method of communication than the encrypted messaging app Signal, is the latest example of questionable data security practices by top national security officials already under fire for the mistaken inclusion of a journalist in a group chat about high-level planning for military operations in Yemen.

A senior Waltz aide used the commercial email service for highly technical conversations with colleagues at other government agencies involving sensitive military positions and powerful weapons systems relating to an ongoing conflict, according to emails reviewed by The Post. While the NSC official used his Gmail account, his interagency colleagues used government-issued accounts, headers from the email correspondence show.

Waltz has had less sensitive, but potentially exploitable information sent to his Gmail, such as his schedule and other work documents, said officials, who, like others, spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe what they viewed as problematic handling of information. The officials said Waltz would sometimes copy and paste from his schedule into Signal to coordinate meetings and discussions.

Welcome to the Real World, Secretary Duffy... here's your weekly near miss air traffic event.

A U.S. passenger flight preparing to leave the nation’s capital and an incoming military jet received instructions to divert and prevent a possible collision, officials said.

Delta Air Lines Flight 2983 was cleared for takeoff at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on Friday around 3:15 p.m., the same time four U.S. Air Force T-38 Talon aircraft were inbound, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.

The jets were heading for a flyover of Arlington National Cemetery when the Delta aircraft received an onboard alert of a nearby aircraft. Air traffic controllers “issued corrective instructions to both aircraft,” according to the FAA, which intends to investigate.
