His name is Leland "Lee" Dudek. When the Acting Commissioner refused to allow the DOGEbags to get access to SSA's databases which all American's SSNs and personal data, the DOGE team fired the leadership team and "promoted" the mid-level manager who gave them access to the databases. He's now the Acting Commissioner. He seems totally clueless and spends most of his time trying to please Trump.

He's a truly awful person. He's threatened to shut down the SSA in order to avoid compliance with court orders. It was recently revealed that, when he was a child, his parents divorced and his mother filed as disabled, which entitled her to collect Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) payments. The guy who grew up on SSA welfare wants to shut down the agency that fed him as a child and employed him as an adult.

After the governor of Maine got into a tiff with Mango Mussolini over trans rights, Dudek took it upon himself to change the rules in Maine so that parents of newborns couldn't get SSNs for their babies through their hospital's birth certificate clerks. In Maine, Dudek required the parents to physically appear in the Social Security Office in Bangor, ME and apply for the SSN in person.

TrumpCo. economists are counting on the rest of the world doing nothing...of eating the tariffs on behalf of the US consumer and on the fantasy that this 'Welcome Home' to US producers will have them shifting all their production back to the southern US states in the next 2 years.
