Trump this.

Hababa is a relatively late comer to his circus.

And she really is pretty inept....when she was making the comment about Letitia James just 'not being that smart' she seemed to forget that James has already won this case. It is now just a matter of assessing damages.

Let's say that you have two resumes on your desk. One is for an attorney who graduated from Howard University and Columbia. The other is a graduate of LeHigh and Widener. One attorney has 30 years of experience as a public defender and district attorney. The other attorney worked in fashion merchandising before she decided to go to law school; her 12 year legal career started when she worked for her now ex-husband's legal firms and her legal experience as her own firm has centered on suing nursing homes and representing one of the Housewives of New Jersey.

Who would you hire?

If you said, "The pretty one who does what I want her to do", then you win the prize.

It appears that Roger Stone (or one of his acolytes) is still working behind the scenes.

Someone has been digging through Judge Engoron's social media and they found some gym pics that Engoron posted on his high school alumni website.

This is supposed to "discredit" the judge since they haven't been able to find any pictures of Engoron with Schumer, I guess.

Hillary Clinton compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler this week as she warned about the dangers of a second Trump presidency.

"I think it would be the end of our country as we know it, and I don't say that lightly," the former first lady and U.S. secretary of state said on daytime talk show The View on Wednesday.

Do you fucking think so?

Hillary has been Cassandra all along.

She was and is right. The US is marching right toward destruction.

Humans are very bad at learning from their mistakes. Drivers who have one crash are more likely to have a second crash. If you get divorced once, you get divorced twice. Serving time in jail makes people more likely to commit crime, not less. Brexit supporters moan about how it has made everything worse yet they say they would still vote for it again. Trump supporters must be at least as stupid as Brexit supporters so I cannot see how proving beyond doubt that he was a threat to democracy the first time and will be much worse the second time will make the slightest difference to their voting intention. Gambling addicts lose and lose and lose and lose again and only stop when they are so destitute that there is no money left to bet any more. That might be what it takes.

It also doesn't help that 37% of Americans apparently do not want a democracy, but want a King.

And that more than a third of the country see him destroying democracy and wreaking revenge and havoc as the desired end goal.

It is how Hitler came to power in Germany with about a third of the country behind him.

It because they don't appreciate how they benefit from the rule of law. They only see how it restricts them.

That’s all the Trump supporters want is revenge, against Hillary and Obama and everyone else they feel took away their white straight male power.

This is the truth.

The horde looks at the country and sees Black people taking their privilege, brown people taking their jobs, Asians getting all the education, Jews with all the money, fag*** flaunting their perversions, Men cutting off their peckers, unnatural Women abandoning their families, Muslims shiting on the Jeebus, and Decent White Christians™ getting ever fewer.

If democracy won't stop it, they'll use force.

I do keep thinking though, that with Trump threatening to use the Justice Department to pursue men like Bill Barr...he might be wise to remember Epstein's end when he starts to cross people who are as evil and connected as he is.

The only thing that preserves him at this point would seem to be that the CIA and FBI are still in his corner.

Because otherwise...he would be dead.

All that you say may be true but civil rights in the 60’s and feminism in the 70’s were at least as disruptive in those times and I’d even say feminism was worse than anything you listed because it’s the only one that comes into your house….can’t pretend it’s not there. In the big picture your list is indicative of what I believe the real problem to be which is cultural irrelevance for the baby boomers. The generation that defined culture for two generations finds a world they no longer understand and no longer needs them and they are clinging tightly instead of graciously stepping aside.

It isn't just the boomers.

The next generation has proven to sometimes be as, or even more reactionary, bigoted and narrow minded than their parents.

Many of them are now the loudest voices.

Like the Proud Boys, Moms for Liberty, etc.

And they are afraid of ANYTHING that might come into their neighbourhood, not just their own houses. And by neighbourhood, I mean anything within 3000 miles of them.

What you 'believe' is not what you 'know'. I'm a Boomer. I know. I have actual history in my brain.

Some people believe in God. Some people believe that the Earth is flat. Some people believe that Trump is the Chosen One. I know for a fact that Harry Potter was the Chosen One because Voldemort chose him and marked him when he could just as easily have chosen Neville Longbottom.

Your view of history is incorrect as are your beliefs.

I never met a Feminist who attacked a politician's souse with a bloody hammer because Gloria Steinem told her to; nor a feminist who drove a car into protestors at a White Power rally, nor a feminist who marched in support of Hitler, nor a feminist who attacked the Capital in a mob hell-bent on murdering Congressmen and overthrowing our democracy.

This is an absurd comparison,

Most Boomers are not Toad’s foot soldiers and are not the ones firebombing the DNC headquarters in Austin or trying to drive their campaign staffers off the road. Most Boomers are not the ones putting children in cages and pushing migrants back into the river to drown, not the ones erecting barriers in the water with razor wire and blades below the waterline to main and kill anyone trying to cross.

It's reductivist to say that “Boomer irrelevance” is what’s driving this.

Toad’s horde crosses all age groups. They are not even all ‘Pubs. The most common denominator is white, rural and working-class, non-college grads, who have been fed a steady diet of fear and race/gender/religious/homophobic paranoia in the media they watch, in their peer groups, and in their church.

These are the people who make the calls threatening to kidnap your wife and rape her to death in a field if you cross the Orange Toad.

I am a boomer as well and I have actual history in my brain too. I live in the US and it’s those boomers I am referring to and since you prefer that which I know to what I believe I know that it’s mostly been a shameful generation whose lasting legacy will be leaving more than 31 trillion in debt for others to deal with. Its not something I would boast about what about you?

People with such values really do have a problem leaving the stage at an appropriate time. We have old politicians who refuse to retire because they need the attention and reverence and probably believe they are really needed. It is the thought of irrelevance which frightens them maybe you can’t see it but my old eyes can.
