Trump this.

...I think Biden is going to win and then Trump can talk about a fake election to go along with his fake crowds.
I agree with you. The problem is that a lot of people in enough states don't give a shit if Toad is a complete fraud, lies, rapes, steals, baits. commits sedition, calls for mob violence on his enemies, puts his kids in charge, takes all the money, gives crooks and traitors gubmint jobs, and sucks Putin's tiny cock.
The scary thing is that we're even talking about it.

In what alternate universe are we in where polls show Trump in the lead, the public believing we're in a recession, that the stock market is down, that unemployment is at a 50 year high and that life was better under Trump?

Either the polls are completely inaccurate, or we have a significant segment of the population who are not living in the same reality as the rest of us.

Even more scary is that Democrats have done nothing...nothing... to fix the faulty system that allowed a Republican candidate with 2.9 million fewer votes than the Democratic candidate to be declared President in 2016. If there's anything to worry about in November is that 5 States will overrule the majority of Americans and put Trump back in the White House. And why on earth wasn't Trump put on trial for sedition in 2021... like he would have in every other country?

Because the US is a broken country.

And most people think is all just a game at this point.

Meanwhile in the South Bronx where the palm trees sway....

And as if the Secret Service would allow so many Black people to get that close. 🤦‍♂️

now this is scary

If he wins you can kiss the filibuster goodbye…..that’s if republicans take both the house and the senate.

The reality is that Haley is desperate not to be kicked out of politics because of her opposition to Trump. She is like all the rest of the spineless grifters going back to 2016 that turned up to lick his taint because they were afraid of losing the support of the GQP base.

And all of these statements of fealty from Republican former Presidential candidates are also part of the job interview for Cabinet positions... and in some cases, for Vice President.

Filibuster is long overdue to die.

It was ever a wrongheaded dilution of legitimate debate. If you don't have the votes, you don't have the votes.

The recent abuses of Senator Tuberville, likewise, should be ended, just as the blocking by the Speaker should be illegal.

That McConnell could prevent Supreme Court nominees from being presented, that Johnson could block a bill for Ukraine from being put for a vote is testament to the inherently corrupt game our nation plays with legislation.

We're not a democracy when the will of the majority cannot be allowed to even vote on a bill. We're not a republic when committees block legislation from even being voted on.

Our government is past its date. Let it fall. We'd do better with civil war and a period of purge and start again.

The oligarchs who hold power are never giving it up peaceably and it's only getting worse. Let Trump ascend and revolution ignite. What arises from the ashes will be no worse.

And when America stumbles, regimes across the planet will fall, and justly. Kiss the Saudis goodbye.

This was a hint that the rowdy Libertarian crowd wasn't going to be up for Trump's BS:

The boos were audible throughout Trump's speech:

The speech ran about 34 mins. Around 30 mins, he starts his usual dystopian "World War III" and "anti-globalism" nonsense and throws in some libertarian/Christian White Nationalism goodies, "anti-LGBT" and "anti-science" and "anti-education". Still got booed.

Hopefully this will backfire badly for TrumpCo.

Not a good look to have a room full of people booing that can be played over and over...it kind of defeats the Winner image that he must portray.

Interesting that they went directly for the Libertarian white nationalist demographic. That dog caller wasn't even whistling...

This speech shows him to be vulnerable...in the same way that the pathetically small crowd at the Bronx speech demonstrated how much he is loathed in NYC.

I want to take these as positive signs that his campaign is already running out of steam....

Totally on-brand for the Libertarians, RFK Jr also gave a speech at the convention.

RFK Jr's surrogates were handing out rubber chickens to push the message that Trump was "too chicken" to debate RFK Jr. This sent the MAGA Libertarians into a frenzy.

Security at the venue confiscated the rubber chickens and wouldn't allow the RFK Jr supporters to carry them into the meeting room where Trump was giving his speech. This infuriated the RFK Jr supporters.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his supporters have reportedly handed out rubber chickens to attendees of the Libertarian Party convention ahead of former President Donald Trump's speech Saturday night in Washington, D.C.

The squawking rubber chickens have "Debate Bobby" written on them and are presumably intended to heckle and mock the presumptive Republican nominee as he looks to court right-leaning libertarian voters.

The stunt faced backlash on social media from Trump supporters.

I don't remember a time when a president and one running as a candidate went out of their way to narrow their base...so it is either the worst political instinct...or the actions of someone who already knows that they have it in the bag.

It seems like someone has assured him that in the pinch, most so-called Libertarians will in fact vote GQP because they will be looking to him to destroy all the federal government departments and branches they hate.

And I think he has already demonstrated a willingness and deft capacity to do this in the 4 years he took a wrecking ball to the Executive Branch services and policies.

We could hope for Libertarians to stay home and not vote...or to vote for their own man (because they will never nominate a woman), but TrumpCo. may have the measure of the Libertarian voters.

I concede our legislative rituals tend toward the reactionary although more than perhaps you might I believe it’s just what the founders wanted. The raw use of power that McConnell practiced with Garland has been rare in American politics but the future looks different especially if your desired future comes to pass.

A stumbling America and revolution and we could be staring at the abyss, I prefer evolution as the twists and turns aren’t as sharp so it’s easier to see where things are going.

I am forever haunted by Pete Townshend’s line ‘meet the new boss same as the old boss’ that’s the story of revolution the ambitious get swept away and replaced by different but still ambitious people and little changes except maybe for whose ox it is to be gored.

They say Donald was not a very good USA President his first chance out so why should America :coffee:, in these here "good olde
US of A," vote Donald & his "Ship of Fools" a second chance
