He sold 8.5 billion dollars worth of stock before prices fell by 25%.

Now he loses a billion.

But he gets to purchase stock at a discount.

Although part of me thinks this wasn't the plan...that it still comes back to him being stoned and thinking it was a cool idea and then his business gurus working out how he couldn't lose...because the super-rich can never lose.

I dunno, these are weird times. IQ45 is thiiiiiiiis close to being indicted for the highest crime in the country. Elected officials are being subpeonad left and right, R Kelly and Harvey Weinstein are FINALLY in prison, things are changing and there are only so many golden parachutes to go around. This next year is going to be very interesting. I dunno if it's in the cards but I'd love to see Musk get his comeuppance.

I figured he bought it to make sure trump had a voice.

I don't use twitter at all. I went there once to check it out - no interest and no thanks.
 
I have been using it as my newsfeed for Ukraine.

Odd that Zuckerberg has sunk META shares by 61% so far this year.

I suspect that Musk will bury Twitter, using other people's money, Because at the end of the day it is only worth the advertising and the contributed content. And once the trolls take over...we all either leave or are kicked out.
