Two boys home alone

I'm really proud of chapter 30. It's probably my favorite so far. Enjoy!

Part 30

The music played loudly through out the whole room. Prom. Jeremy and Bradley danced, while Casey and Marcus sat and talked. "I love you, B." "I love you too." They kissed. "Fags!" Cody said loudly, appearing suddenly. "Fuck off!" Bradley said. "Or what?" "You know what." Jeremy said as he stared him down. Cody cursed and walked away. "So what did you think about our fun three way?" Bradley asked. "It was hot but I don’t wanna do it again." "Why not?" "Because it's weird knowing that you like Marcus." Bradley wasn’t sure what to say next, so he stayed silent. "I'm gonna go get a drink. Want one?" Jeremy asked. "No, I'm ok."

"I'm going to miss you so much. Why do you have to leave before graduation?" Marcus asked. "I told you. My parents want me to go and get settled as soon as possible." Casey said. "That fucking sucks. We have to call each other everyday. Oh and I bought you a web camera so we can Skype!" "Hold on. I'm not sure about this…" Casey said. She was hiding something. "What do you mean?" "I mean…I don’t think we should stay together, once I leave." "Why?!" Marcus asked. "Because…I don’t think you'll be able to stop yourself, and you'll end up sleeping with Bradley." "What?! I wouldn’t cheat on you! I love you so much." "I know that but I'll still be worried to much, that you're cheating." "Don’t do this. We're supposed to be together." Marcus said. "I'm not doing this…yet. But once I leave, it's over. I'm doing this for you too. I know you won't ever be truly happy with me. You need…someone else." Before Marcus could say more, Casey got out of her seat and said "I'm going to go get a drink." and walked away.

After waiting for ten minutes, Bradley went to the bar, looking for Jeremy. Instead he found Casey. "Hey Casey. Have you seen Jeremy?" Bradley asked. "Yeah I saw him going into the bathroom awhile ago. He's been in there for quite a long time." Casey sounded upset. Bradley thought about asking what was wrong, but decided not to. "Ok. Thanks." Bradley said, walking to the bathroom. When he got there he pushed the door open. The bathroom seemed empty. He went past each stall looking in. When he stood in front of the last one, he pushed but it was locked. "I'm busy!" a familiar voice said. Bradley recognized Cody's voice. He looked under the stall and could see someone on his knees. He Knocked on the stall door. "I said I'm busy!" Cody yelled. "Jeremy?" Bradley asked, ignoring Cody. He could hear movement and the door opened. Jeremy stood in front of Bradley, Cody standing behind him. "Oh." Jeremy said. Bradley's eyes went watery. He quickly walked out the bathroom and toward Marcus, who was still sitting at a table. "Can we go? I'll go get Casey for you." "No wait. Let's just go. I'll call her later."

They walked home, leaving the limo for Jeremy, Casey, Liz and Liz's date. "What happened back there?" Marcus asked. "The end of Jeremy and I, that's what happened." Bradley replied. "Yeah. Same with Casey and I." Marcus said, as they walked down the street. Bradley slowly moved his hand, and grabbed Marcus' hand. Marcus held onto his hand and looked at him. They exchanged smiles, and continued walking down the street.

finally!!!! omg i love it!!! love it!! im excited now to see how happy they will be together! lol im glad bradley didn't stress out over jeremy....cheaters are never worth it

I've written chapters 31 and 32. I'm sad to say that i've had trouble writing 33 and 34. I think I'm too afraid of making a wrong move in the story. So once I post 32, it could be while before the next one. Hopefully this writers block go's away quickly.

its okay just make sure its a good move you wouldn't wanna kill the story or anything so take your time, we could wait awhile

IG,
I have to agree with everyone else - I'm glad the path has been cleared for Marcus and Bradley.

Jeremy and Cody deserve each other - may they both rot in Hell.

As for Casey, I hope she finds someone who's right for her - she's being a mensch for forcing Marcus to cut the cord with her.
Thanks.

Tons of new things in the chapter. Enjoy, and comment!

Part 31

Marcus and Bradley kissed deeply. After about a minute, they pulled away and realized where they were again. In the hallway of their college. "Maybe we should go back to our room. More private." Marcus said. "Dex is there. Plus, I have class." Bradley replied. Marcus put his head down, before saying "Fine then." They kissed once more before parting ways.

Bradley walked into the classroom and sat in his usual seat. A few minutes later, Mr. K walked in. They called him Mr. K because his last name was often mispronounced. He wasn't bad looking. Early thirties and in shape. Short brown hair. He started writing notes on the blackboard. Bradley looked to his left, to see Allison, his classmate and friend. She had dark brown hair with a streak of red in the front. Out of all the new people Bradley had met at college, she was the only one that he really clicked with. They exchanged a small wave and looked back at the blackboard.

Marcus unlocked the door and went into his apartment. It was quite large. Two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom that connected the two bedrooms. Marcus and Bradley shared one, with Dex, Casey's brother, in the other. He walked into the living room to find Dex sitting on the couch, reading a book. There were a few more books next to him. This was the usual. Dex loved to read. Seeing him without a book, was like seeing a shark in outer space. They greeted each other, before Marcus went into his room.

He pulled his phone from his pocket to check the time. Seeing that it was almost dead, he went to his drawer to look for his charger. Going through his drawer, he found an old photo of Casey and him. They broke up the night of the prom. He had talked to her a few times since then, but it was hard. Deeper in the drawer, he found a letter from Jeremy to Bradley. Going against his morals, he read it. It was Jeremy saying how much he was sorry and that he was a jerk. Bradley and Jeremy's relationship had ended on prom night too. The only thing that made prom a memory worth remembering, was Bradley and Marcus being together. Even deeper in the drawer, he found another letter. Expecting it to be from Jeremy, Marcus opened it. It was from Tyler. He was locked up in an mental institution. The doctors didn’t let Bradley see him, but they let them write letters back and forth. Finally, he found his cell phone charger.

Bradley sat at the kitchen table, next to Marcus, with Dex across. He thought about kissing Marcus but decided not to. Dex was ok with them being together as long as he didn't have to see it. They ate their spaghetti and talked. Of course, Dex had a book on the table next to his plate. As soon as he was finished eating, he put away his plate and started reading. He was a very quiet guy. They really didn't know much about him, other than him being Casey's older brother, and majoring in political science. He was always too busy reading or doing homework, to talk.

Marcus' cell phone rang. "Hello? Oh hey Jay! Yeah I'll bring the papers in tomorrow. Ok, bye." Jay was a co-worker of Marcus, and a friend. Bradley thought he was nice, but could tell he wasn't a good guy to be around. "It was just Jay reminding me to bring in some important papers, for the science geeks." Marcus told Bradley. Marcus had a job working in the colleges science lab. Mostly paperwork. Liz also worked in the lab with Marcus. Bradley nodded. Bradley had a job too. He worked at the schools library, as if he didn't see enough of Dex at home.

IG,
On to school without any fanfare or moving in day miscellany.
A little open romance - Ooops!

The balancing act between coming out, PDA's, and generally acceptable practices in any environment. I remember reading a thread recently where the guys were making out in a restaurant and getting disapproving stares - I almost posted, but didn't that, it might not have mattered what type couple it was making out - making out full bore in a restaurant was "tacky" at the least, and inappropriate behavior more commonly. I figured it might also be a generational thing - but not completely.

In any event, I understand the boys affection for each other.
The letters are poignant reminders of sad situations.

Looking forward to where you take us next.

And, I've been accused of being a bookworm, too, but Dex seems a bit withdrawn.

Part 32

Bradley put the rest of the books in their places, on the shelf, and went back to his desk. He logged on to the computer and started putting in the info about the books. DING. The desk bell rang. He looked up from the computer to see a good looking man in front of him. Oliver. He looked better then the first time he had saw him. It took a few minutes for Bradley to pick up his jaw and mumble "Hello." "Hi. I'm a new student here and since I came a few weeks after the semester started, I have to get my books here. Here's the list of books I need." Oliver said, handing Bradley the list. He took it and quickly looked at it, before looking for the books on his computer. "Hey have we met before?" Oliver asked. Bradley's typing slowed, as he said "Yeah I think so." "You're the cute guy from the pool, right?" After Oliver said that, Bradley stopped typing completely. He couldn’t believe that he just called him cute.

He snapped out of his own thoughts and started typing again. "Uh yeah. I remember seeing you at the pool too." He had to remind himself that he was in a relationship with Marcus. No fooling around with other guys. "Well it's nice seeing a face I somewhat recognize here." Bradley nodded and went to get the books. A few minutes later, he came back with a stack of books. "I don’t have the psych one. When I get it, I'll call you." "Ok. That sounds great. Here's my number." Oliver said, as he took a pen from the desk and wrote on a sticky note. He tore it off the pad and handed it to Bradley. "Don’t forget to call." He said, winking, before walking away.

"Where is the line between talking and flirting?" Bradley thought to himself. He knew he didn’t wanna cheat. That was a sure thing. But would it be wrong for him to be friends with a guy that he found attractive? After much thinking, he decided to try and become friends with Oliver. Just friends. "Hello?!" Bradley shook his thoughts away. "Sorry, I was thinking. What did you say?" He asked Marcus. "I was asking what movie you wanted to watch." Marcus replied. "New Moon. Edward's hot." "Really? Well since you'll never have him, I could always bite you." Marcus said, showing his teeth. "Sounds fun."

"Do you actually want to watch the movie now?" Marcus asked Bradley, after they relaxed. Hot sex can really take a lot out of you. Bradley, still breathing hard, said "Yeah, I guess so." Marcus got out of bed to put the movie in the DVD player, while Bradley examined his body. Marcus actually had bitten him in a few places. He laughed at the thought of it.

IG,
You like keeping the emotional, sex-charged pot stirred, don't you?

What, Bradley is too moronic to understand he's with a prince of a guy?

Oliver - Do we go Dickensian in reference, or do I refer to a fairly local confectioner extraordinaire?

Luscious, rich chocolate in a variety of flavors from "White"/pastel coat to Dark, with milk, strawberry, peanut butter, orange and others in between. Rich, chewy caramel, toasted "nuts" - oh so yummy.

-or-

Lost Orphan, taken under wing by the Artful Dodger - street smarts and confidence.

Maybe a bit o' both?

I don't know if I'm going to like where this is headed, either, but I'm willing to go along for the ride and find out.

Thanks for the installment.

I've had a ton of ideas fly through my mind lately. I haven't written part 33 yet but I think I know where i'm going to go with it. And there's still a few twists up my sleeve.

I've decided that Marcus gets a bit of the spotlight for awhile. He has a lot of room to grow and figure out who he is. I've also decided to start naming each chapter. I thought it would be fun. lol Enjoy chapter 33 AKA "Joining The Club".

Part 33
Joining The Club

Marcus left his English class in a hurry. He had to be at work in twenty minutes. He turned a left and continued down the hall. As he came up to a poster, something caught his eye. He stopped and read it. It was a poster for the school's LGBT group. After reading over it a few times, he took out his pen and folder and scribbled down the info.

"An LGBT club? I don’t know." Bradley said. "Oh come on! Let's go! I wanna learn more about the LGBT community." Marcus replied. "I have a lot of schoolwork today. You can go though." "Are you sure you don’t wanna go?" "Yeah. Maybe I'll go another time." Bradley said.

Marcus walked into the classroom. There was about twenty-five people in the room. He sat in the far corner and watched the group leader go up to the podium. He looked like he was a senior. "I think everyone's here." he said. He had quite the southern accent. "Well now, I think we should get started." Marcus thought about his accent and pictured him as a cowboy. The senior would look good like that. "We have been talking to the Pan-Hellenic board about letting LGBT students join fraternities and sororities. They say tha-" "You mean they don't let gay students join the Greek system?!" Marcus said, interrupting him. Everyone turned to look at him. "I'm spitting that you're new to the group, yes?" Marcus' face went red, as he nodded. "Well we are allowed to join, but there's been much talk bout the fraternities and sororities presidents being foul and banning us."

"I'm Cole." The leader said. The meeting had finished and many of the people had left. "I'm Marcus. Nice to meet you." "You too." Cole said, smiling. "I can't believe some of the things I heard today. The inequality that we face." Marcus said. "Yes, there's quite a lot of that, but most people are just too dang ignorant to notice. Now if I may ask, what are you?" "What do you mean?" Marcus asked. "Gay? Bi? Straight? Unsure?" "I'm bi." "Same as me." Cole replied.

IG,
An interesting twist - from "I'm not Gay" to "I'm Bi-" and Righteous Indignation at the thought that Non-Straight students were discriminated on in the Greek Societies.

Looking forward to see how Marcus comes out of his shell.

Thanks, IG!

Part 34
Movie Night

Bradley took a bite out of his burger. "I can't believe the jackass' who run the fraternities and sororities. It's just not right." Bradley, Marcus, Allison and Cole all sat around a small table, eating. They were at P&G's, a burger joint across the street from their college. "There's not much we can do. The presidents always come out with another excuse to throw us out of the Greek system. There's only a few fraternities and sororities that let us join." Cole said. "So all you guys can do is stand around and watch it happen?" Allison asked, eating a french fry. She was a vegetarian, and there wasn’t much on the menu besides burgers and fries.

"Well we've been talking to Pan-Hellenic about it, but there's not much they can do either. The presidents are pretty dang sneaky." Cole replied. "Well I don’t wanna just stand around, waiting for them to stop." Marcus said. "What are you thinking of doing?" Bradley asked. "I don’t know. But I'm going to figure out something."

Marcus filed the papers. He was at work. Jay had called in sick and he agreed to come in. "So what do you have planned for tonight?" Marcus asked. "Well I was going to see a movie." Liz replied. "By yourself?" "Yeah. I haven't made many friends since I've started going to college here, nor have I got a boyfriend." "Well, if you want, I'll go with you." Marcus offered. "What about Bradley? Are you going to invite him?" "Nah. He's probably busy lately. A ton of school work." "Ok then. It's a date." Liz said.

Marcus grabbed a few napkins from the napkin holder and shoved them in his pocket. He picked up the tub of popcorn and the sodas from the concession stand, and walked to movie theater number seven. It was dark, so he waited for his eyes to adjust. There was a trailer of a new movie in 3D playing. Something about blue people. He laughed at how stupid it sounded. "That'll never be successful!" Marcus thought. He walked down the isle until he found Liz. He handed her a drink and sat next to her. "Thanks for coming to the movie with me. It's really sweet of you." Liz whispered to him. "No problem." He whispered back.

IG,
So, Marcus makes a movie date with a girl, and doesn't even bother to check in with his beau?

The boy needs to have some of the shit between his ears cleaned out.

Whether the date was just friends, or "more" is beside the point - he's in a relationship - and an intimate one - with Bradley. Common courtesy says check in.

Looking forward to seeing the fireworks.

Sorry it's been so long! Here's two chapters! Hope you enjoy! :D

Part 35
Reading Time

Marcus walked up to the desk with a handful of books. He had maybe about seven or eight. "Oh hey sweetie!" Bradley said. Marcus hated when Bradley called him nick names, especially in public. "Really? What have I told you about that?!" "Sorry. It slipped. Anyways, what are you doing here?" Bradley asked. "I wanna check out there books." Marcus replied, as he set down the books. "Oh wow. Quite a lot. Are you actually going to read these?" Bradley looked at the books. Most were about the Greek system and how it worked. One was about politics, and another was about sociology. "Of course I'm going to read them. I have to figure out a plan against the Greek presidents, and I think these may help." Bradley laughed at this. "Is this really the way to do it? I don’t know how these books will help."

After Bradley scanned the books, Marcus left. Bradley shook his head and laughed. "Wow. He's really something." he thought. Not five minutes after Marcus left, Oliver came in. "Hey, Bradley. You called about my psych book." He said. "Yeah. Here it is." Bradley said, handing Oliver a book he had pulled out from under the desk. "Thanks." Oliver said. "Of course. Just doing my job." Oliver hesitated before saying "About that. You know, this could be less about your job. Do you have a boyfriend?" "You don't even know if I'm gay." Oliver tilted his head and smiled. "Oh please. I could tell you were gay from a mile away. I have a good gaydar." Bradley smiled back and said "Well actually, yeah, I do have a boyfriend." "Well if you guys ever break up, call me." Oliver replied, before walking away and leaving.

Marcus opened the door to his apartment and entered. As usual, Dex was sitting on the couch reading. He looked up from his book to see Marcus with a stack of books in his hands. "But it's not my birthday." Dex said. "Ha-ha funny. You know, I read too…sometimes. Anyways, these are for me to read." Marcus said, setting down the books on the table.

Marcus sat and read all day. By the time Bradley came home, he was a little over half way through his second book. "Hey hot stuff!" Bradley said, sitting in between Marcus and Dex. "Oh, is that really necessary?" Dex asked, looking up from his book and at Bradley. "Well, I could have said 'Hey hot stuff! Nice fine ass you got there! Can I fuck it?'" Dex gave a look of disgust, before getting up and going to his room. "Did you really have to mess with him like that?" Marcus asked. "No. I was just playing. He should really learn how to relax a little." "He does. Just not around you. Probably because you do stuff like that."

Part 36
Visiting

"Hello? Oh, hi dad. How's it going? I'm doing fine. Yeah, school's been keeping me busy. Oh really? Oh ok then. Yeah, I'll email you the directions later. Alright. Ok, see you tomorrow!" Marcus closed his cell phone and slid it back into his pocket. "Your dad called?" Bradley asked. "Yeah. He said he wanted to drop by tomorrow and check out the school." "That's nice. I hope it isn't weird for him." "You hope what isn't weird for him?" Marcus asked. "You know, seeing us together. He's never seen us like this. But I'm sure he's expecting it." "Oh crap. I never told him."

Marcus went through each room, tidying everything he could get his hands on. He was really tense and nervous. His dad probably wouldn't care about his sexuality. Finally, when the room looked completely mess free, he sat down on the couch and waited. His foot tapped rapidly. Dex sat next to him, reading. Bradley came out of his room and walked into the living room. He was a bit tense too. Finally, there was a knock at the door, and Marcus jumped up and swung it open.

It seemed like it had been years since Marcus had seen his father. They exchanged hellos and walked into the living room. "This must be Dex, right?" Dex nodded and shook Mr. Parker's hand. "Hello Bradley, how's it going?" "Hi, Mr. Parker. I'm doing fine. How about you?" "Not too bad." Mr. Parker said, sitting down on the couch. Marcus sat next to him, with Bradley next to him. Dex grabbed a stool chair from the kitchen and sat on it, in front of the couch.

"So how's life here? Do you got yourself a girlfriend?" Marcus' dad asked. "Uh, well no." Marcus said. "How about you Bradley? Any boyfriends?" Mr. Parker asked, turning his attention to Bradley. "Yes, I do have a boyfriend." Bradley said. "Oh that’s nice. Who is it?" Bradley glanced at Marcus before saying "Well it's uh..it's-" "It's Dex!" Marcus blurted out.

Marcus never told his dad? Wait, I thought...hoo boy.

This is going to be a real sitcom for a while here!

Dear IG,
And Marcus gives Bradley shit about the way he picks at Dex?! lol

I can just see the expressions convoluting through Dex's face at Marcus' announcement.

"Lucy, I'm Home!"

Who's going to provide the Hindlick maneuver on Dex to get his breathing restarted after choking that one down?!

You do have a wonderful way with words.
Thanks for the afternoon chuckle.

:D
