Part 24
"That was great!" Casey said. She laid next to Marcus. They were both naked. "Yeah. It seems like we haven't done that in a long time." Marcus kissed her forehead. "Are those yours? I didn't know you wore briefs." Casey said, pointing to a pair of black briefs on the floor, next to the bed. "Oh, I don’t. Those are Bradley's. He must have left it there before he went to bed." Casey gave him a look of confusion. "He sleeps naked…and in your bed?" "Well yeah. He doesn’t like to sleep on the floor, so I said he could sleep with me." "And what about the naked part?" Casey asked. Marcus shrugged and said "We just sorta got used to it. When he first started spending the night here, we thought it was fun. I guess we just continued and never thought about it." Casey nodded and rested here head back on the pillow, thinking. "Do you think that maybe you're bi?"
"Just because we sleep together, you're going to ask that?!" Marcus asked. "Well it's not really normal for two guys to sleep together naked. And I've noticed how close you two are. Have you ever thought about him in a sexual way?" "Well…yeah." Casey rubbed Marcus' chest. "That's ok. Being bi is ok. There's no reason to have to hide those feelings." Marcus started crying. "But I don’t wanna like guys. I thought that maybe if I just pretended those feelings weren't there, they'd disappear." Casey pulled him closer. "No matter what, those feelings won't go away. I'm sorry. You are who you are, and you'll never be happy pretending to be anyone else." "No! I won't be this person! I'm straight!"
Bradley walked into the hospital room. It was cold and quiet. He walked past the first bed and went in front of the second. He waved to Tyler and gave him a small smile. Tyler didn't look good. His face looked pale and he had dark black rings around his eyes. His left arm was bandaged up. "How have you been?" Bradley asked. "Ok. The doctor says I'm going to live…what did everyone say?" Tyler asked. "Nothing. I didn't tell anyone." "Really?" "Yeah. Look I'm really sorry. I never thought you'd try anything like this." Bradley said. "No. It was my fault. You were just trying to get me back. I shouldn’t have done any of the things I did." "That’s true, but I still feel guilty." "Well don’t." Tyler stated. "So…when do you get out of the hospital?" "In a few days. But I'm not returning home. They're sending me to a mental institution. They're afraid that I'll try again."
Bradley didn't know what to say. "Wow…that's…bad." "Yeah." "Do you still wish you were dead?" Bradley asked. "I don’t know. Yes and no. Yes, because no one cares about me." Bradley sat on the edge of the hospital bed. "I care about you. I don’t want you dead. You've done really bad things, but I don’t think you're bad. Now I see another side of you, and I understand." "I'm sorry." Tyler said. "It's…It's ok."
