So i am vaccinated a few times when young.
How do you know they work ??? :?

This doctor say vaccine did not work:

You need to stop doing research on YouTube

Why on earth must I see this ](*,) here ](*,) of all places ](*,) with my two own eyes ](*,) like I haven't got enough of this shit in my daily life and this has to intrude my free space ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

As far as I'm concerned, any doctor, or in fact, anyone, but especially doctors and medical workers, who says vaccines don't work has a special place in the deepest part of hell reserved for them - even if they don't believe in the concept of heaven and hell, as much as they don't believe in the power of vaccines.

Anyway since the OP doesn't work how google works, I'll just leave this greatly educative comic strip here.

It nails most of the most essential thing to know about vaccines and why not taking vaccines are generally unwise.

I believe most of the JUBbers are already wise enough to know about this, but why not refresh some good knowledge.

How do you know they work ???

We know they work because they work. Do you know what antibodies are? They're the little buggers in your blood that seek out viruses and destroy them. That is your 'immunity system'. You begin with basic immunities from your mother when you are born and it grows each time you become sick or even catch a cold. When you catch a cold, your body created antibodies to destroy the viruses that are causing your cold. When the cold is gone, the antibodies don't go away. They stay in your blood and continue to kill viruses when they enter your body. You never catch the same type of cold twice.

That's how vaccinations work except that dead viruses are injected into you, but your body doesn't know dead from alive, so it creates antibodies to destroy them anyway, and then they stay with you in case you encounter that same virus.

Your 'doctor' is a quack if he believes vaccines were invented for population control and to kill off people before they're old enough to collect old age security. He makes me sick just listening to his crap.

You talk about Trump being a con man, well that's exactly what this dimwit is. My cats have more intelligence and common sense than he does.

Vaccines do not cause autism. The doctor who made that claim later admitted to making up the results. I don’t see why parents still believe that lie. I find the parents to be selfish if they don’t vaccinate their kids and ought to be arrested for child endangerment. Not for their kids but for the safety of other children. You can adjust to having a kid with autism. Why is it seen as bad? I’m technically autistic yet I live a somewhat normal life with a few adjustments. Autism isn’t a curse. And parents are whose kids died from a preventable disease because they refused to vaccinate their kids will never get any sympathy from me. They should be banned from having any more kids as well. You had two tasks with your kids in keeping them safe and alive and you failed. You got what you deserved for being so selfish and listening to that bimbo Jenny McCarthy who might I add admitted to trying to have sex with a freaking tree! That stupid bitch shouldn’t be listened to!

tely's brain didn't work, never work.....

Did one of his doctor's maybe inject poor tely's brain with a vaccine for gray matter when he was a child? If so it definitely work, his body built up antibodies for brain cells and destroyed them as they formed.

I like the Roman legion shield wall as illustration for herd immunity. :D

I remember some state legislator introducing a bill that would have made parents who refused vaccinations for their kids guilty of negligent manslaughter if any of their kids died. It makes a certain kind of sense.

Who knew that decades of stringent scientific research would be undermined by "but this other guy made a video".

If vaccines didn't work we would be over-run with Polio, tetanus etc
Everyone loves a conspiracy theorist!

And not only their own kids but also the greater population

I'm glad France made vaccinations for children obligatory for school attendance. Parents shouldn't be allowed to knowingly endanger their children.

Because you haven't died from one of a number of what used to be pandemic diseases.

I'm on the side of vaccine do work
but that doctor in the video seems to know what he is talking about.

So many people think they know what someone is talking about sully thread!

He doesn't. Anyone who thinks that vaccines were invented to cause sterility and infertility wouldn't even get a job teaching grade school science. He's worse than Flat Earthers because his 'opinions' can KILL PEOPLE.

I totally agree. So what if your kid has autism? Yeah you need to make changes in your life but you make changes if your kid gets diabetes or becomes paralyzed. Adjusting to having a kid with autism is no different.

Is there a vaccine against whatever that is growing on his upper lip?

Dr Coldwell's real name is Bernd Klein. At least we think that's his name since he holds a passport with the name Bernd Witchner . He's a notorious peddler of "natural" cancer cures and he claims to have a cancer cure rate of 92%. From all evidence, he's a con artist and compulsive liar. Thankfully, he was born in Germany and is ineligible to run for President in the US.

Leonard Coldwell is a promoter of alternative medicine, "natural remedies", and has produced many videos full of pseudoscientific piffle, evidence-bereft medical claims, and conspiracy theories.

He often claims to be the world's leading authority on cancer (amongst other medical conditions) but he has precious little understanding of medicine or human biology, and his understanding of basic science is virtually non-existent: any man who genuinely fails to understand the fact that glass and sand are not actually soluble in water is probably not best placed to offer health advice.

Coldwell has left a string of abandoned websites in his wake without having the sense to delete them when his scheme changes name or collapses. This makes it easy and entertaining to compare the woo he's peddling one year to the woo he's peddling the next.

Because he's changed his name several times and he's moved around a lot, we have to depend on information from the various lawsuits that he's been involved in:
In written evidence for an ill-fated 1999 German defamation case Coldwell uncharacteristically and probably unwisely let slip a few details about his credentials. He claimed to have a doctorate in psychology from Columbia State University which sounds impressive enough until you discover Columbia State University is, or rather was, a diploma mill operated by stage hypnotist Ronald "Dr Dante" Pellar. Columbia State University was closed by court order in 1998 when "Dr Dante" got 67 months in the big house on a string of dishonesty charges.

At various times Coldwell has laid claim to the following not-necessarily-exhaustive list of 'qualifications'.

ND – Naturopathic Doctor.
DNM – Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine.
LCHC – Legally Certified Healthcare Constructor
CNHP – Certified Natural Health Professional.
DIP.PHC – Diploma in Primary Health Care
PhD – Doctor of Philosophy. (Four of them).
'Doctor Degrees' (Four of them whatever they are supposed to be).
D.Hum – Doctor of Humanities. (Honorary).

And the YouTube videos?

Coldwell is a regular feature of cringe-inducing contrived interviews on the YouTube channel 'ihealthtube' which belongs to IhealthTube.com which in turn belongs to Swanson Health Products of Fargo, North Dakota. It should come as no surprise that Swanson Health Products sell an extensive range of 'natural' healthcare products for the discerning hypochondriac with more money than sense.

but that doctor in the video seems to know what he is talking about.

I can make up an elaborate fact on a piece of paper, design perfectly each 'nook and cranny' of the things people would normally ask about, and therefore deliver a convincing speech about something actually bollocks. You just need a seemingly perfect facade and audience who don't think and readily believe in everything you say (add some 'cool-sounding' [pseudo-]scientific words and they would buy it even more). Just before someone did that doesn't mean the content would be of value.

Also, if you're on the side of vaccine and fully knows and understands the truth, you wouldn't even have doubts or show this to anyone else. You would keep it away because a). you know it's not true and there's no benefit in showing it for any reason, and b). some people might actually agree with this and therefore fall into falsely believing it. People only share something like this because they believe in it at any degree.

I totally agree. So what if your kid has autism? Yeah you need to make changes in your life but you make changes if your kid gets diabetes or becomes paralyzed. Adjusting to having a kid with autism is no different.

Saying autism is better than dying/suffering of the vaccinated diseases is completely going to deter them even further because autism is not a desired condition, nor is it easy to adjust to. One must instead always assert that vaccine is not correlated with autism, because it isn't. A large multicentre long-lasting study has shown this. Battling the autism myth is pertinent to battling anti-vaxxers.

For the record, I would like to say this about autism.

When I was in university back in the early 1970, autism was part of my studies. Over 40 years ago, nobody knew what causes autism. There are plenty of theories, but they still don't know. All they know for certain is that the child is born with it. It develops in the womb. Nothing the mother does causes it. Nothing the doctors or nursed do causes it. Nothing the child does causes it.

And vaccines most certainly do not cause it.
