Venting Thread 2020?

I donated to both Doug Jones' re-election campaign and to Gov. Lujan-Grisham. I knew Jones would not win, but wanted to support anyway.

As with Rickrock, I was pelted by begging requests, fundraising invitations to events, and all sorts of bother. It pissed me off that I had made a substantial donation only to be only invited to pay-as-you-go events for more fundraising. No appreciation for what they did receive. They are as bad as the evangelists.

Governor Lujan-Grisham has not been as bad and actually behaves as if a supporter is a supporter, not just some potential income stream.
 
I was irritated that I didn't hear back from my local representative because I contacted him about something he ran on that I wanted him to support, only to go through my emails today and see that is apparently didn't go through and it was saved as a draft. Oof.

I will probably never donate to a Democratic campaign again. (And certainly not to the other!) I'll send in a $20 donation and, over the following ten or fifteen years, I will get hundreds of mailings, possibly even as many as a thousand. How did my $20 benefit the Democrats? Mailing and printing costs were probably hundreds of dollars - and it surely wasn't friendly to the environment.

Arguably even worse are the clickbait emails with a subject something like "Senator Schmo's AMBITIOUS HEALTHCARE PLAN: a great enhancement to the Affordable Care Act!" and all it is, is nothing more than a short message asking for a donation.

The woman who lives in the apartment below. She of the prematurely graying hair and bloated abdomen. She can't snag a man so she goes out and gets a huge noisy TV and she plays it so loud I can't hear mine. I spoke to her twice about it. Each time, she turns it down but in a few days it gets loud again. No third chance for her. I've begun to bang on the floor. First with my feet, then with a hammer. If she doesn't simmer down soon I'm going to pull out the big guns. I'm above her, so I've got the advantage. I will drag a cat pedestal into the living room...the one with three ten pound weights in the bottom cubbyhole to keep it from tipping. She wants a war? She's got it. I will lift that thing up over my head and send it crashing down right above her living room light fixture. That should send the fixture crashing down on her ugly gray head.

The old heating vents were never removed when the new system was installed two years ago, so the vents run throughout the units in my building. I'm trying not to smoke, but I will gladly force smoke into her apartment if that's what she wants. She's lucky it's not summertime: I'd throw a handful of shit on the outside of her AC grill.

Maybe before I leave for work tomorrow I'll lie my stereo speakers flat on the floor and play SPK's "The Agony Of The Plasma" on repeat. For eight hours. Ot better yet, Oneida's "Sheets Of Easter". Real fucking loud.

Failing all that, I know she has no key to the basement, so I will just go down there and turn her electricity off.

Or maybe I'll just have to kill her.
 
Maybe a vibrating something or other put in a skillet or metal pan on the floor, and turn it on when her noise starts. Vibrating noise is the most effective at being penetrating to one's psyche.
 
A good slap in the face would penetrate her psyche too.

Maybe I'll get a pony.
 
Maybe she is getting hard of hearing. If that is the case and she got a hearing aid, that could solve the problem. But I am not sure how you could bring this up.

We were fined $150.00 for taking our trash to the curb before 4pm) It was 3:30pm) :roll:

We have one busy body neighbor who maybe called or a inspector was driving around.

I called the city manager and was told they need to start clamping down on residents who don't follow the laws.

I got something for him to clamp down on :mad:
 
Yikes that is a bunch of nonsense.

After our car got totaled we had no where to put it but out parking space. It was like after 6pm, the next afternoon we walk out to find a notice threatening to tow the car. I lost my shit on them.

Update on my noisy downstairs neighbor: She continues to blast her TV. I asked her again to turn it down. No compliance. So I called the city to complain about her. I will give her five days. She should surely hear something from them by then. If it doesn't stop, I'm going to go out and buy a couple of cigars, light one, place it in an ashtray nxct to the large heating vent in my bathroom, and pup a fan on it. Our heating vents are connected. I hope she likes the smell of old Jewish comedians.
