Were Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhammad really homophobics?

Not according to me, but according to the text.

And just where does that talk about homosexuality?

I'll note that first you have to find people who have deliberately rejected God, which is where Paul's progression begins. Then you have to find men who are attracted to women, and women who are attracted to men, who reject that as well in order to engage in sex with people they're not attracted to. Having found those people, you have to narrow it to a group who pushed God out of their knowledge and so engage in envy, murder, invention of evil things, who don't care about anyone.

The verse specifically says that because they worshiped other gods Yahweh cursed them to be gay just so he could punish them some more. It is also listed under many things that are worthy of death such as simply but not limited to disagreeing with Yahweh. Yahweh, Allah and Ahura Mazda are the most homophobic gods on the planet. The verse specifically denigrates homosexuality and says that homosexuality is a curse Yahweh inflicts on people.

I don't deny that those sunnier passages exist. But why do you deny the hateful homophobic passages exist, [STRIKE]edicts[/STRIKE] temporary instructions of the same god? I can appreciate the whole picture, noting only that it is incoherent and irreconcilable, while you seem not to want to see the whole picture at all.

Better.

I have already clearly stated that no man is perfect...and, that each, and every human person can, and does think, and commit destructive, and self destructive (evil) actions.

Were you to focus entirely on the negative behaviour of your partner, and vice versa your loving relationship with him would rapidly disintegrate....

....many loving partnerships end this way...for a loving relationship to endure, and prosper both partners should recognise the good that one another does rather, than dwell on the negative....for to dwell on the negative is to ignore the complete person...and none, not even one person is perfect....

The danger when reading scripture literally is a regression to literalism in interpreting scripture as historical fact rather, than sources of archetypal myth, and symbols of the numinous including the Christ figure....here lies the challenge for many people to believe that somehow a humanoid figure, living in Heaven called God dictated the books of Holy Scripture.....

When you start turning it totally into symbols, etc., you can make it mean anything you want. It's really no different than what the haters do with it -- your way just sounds more sophisticated.

You're reading Holy Scripture as if it is a book(s) dictated by the divine mystery....scripture is not a book of rules...scripture is not a history book...scripture reveals the human condition at its best, and at its worst.....

Two thousand years ago people believed that mental health issues were the result of demon possession....today, medical science informs us that this is not the case.....

The bedside manner of a physician contributes to the well being of a patient for the sick person believes that their condition is being treated, leading to an amelioration in their condition...mind, over matter...auto-suggestion...the placebo effect.

Actually he's reading it for the words it holds. There was nothing symbolic or figurative in the commands in Leviticus.

You're turning the whole thing into mush.

For starters, it doesn't even talk about God cursing anyone, and it certainly doesn't say He made them "gay" -- it doesn't even talk about being gay.

Prohibiting love is literally (=) hateful.

Comparing figurative thinking to a prohibition of love is ridiculous.

It says specifically that Yahweh gave them over to homosexuality as a punishment for adultery. It may not say curse outright but it is a curse. Of course it isn't surprising since we consider Yahweh's history that he was basically Canaan's answer to the Greek Ares.

Also I love when people say that the homophobic laws in the Old Testament "no longer apply." However if Yahweh was truly just he would have never put forth these laws in the first place.

No no no. That was the PEOPLE's fault. All they could understand at that stage of their wickedness was a bunch of tyrannical commandments, which were, of course, the gift of a loving god, making the best of their limitations.

(Never mind that this is odious on its face, it is demolished by a rational understanding of Behavioural Modernity.) There is no excuse or rationale that would expunge the sin of issuing such commandments; but of course god is innocent of those earlier works of ignominy, for there are no divine commandments; only the ramblings of ordinary, power-hungry men.

Wait! A revelation! All the fake shameful commandments to murder and butcher and enslave were a test from God to see if we would be taken in! He never meant that seriously, even for our barbarous forbears! It was just a bit of reverse psychology on His part! We truly are blessed by His wisdom!

One does wonder how Christ a man who at 33 was not married which in those times would have had him stoned to death before people (who believed he was the son of God), hung out with 13 guys and one prostitute, was not himself gay active or not!

LOL...hmmm sounds gay to me

No, it doesn't. Please stop with the lies about things you haven't bothered to try to understand.

Why would being single get you stoned to death?

It does say this. It explicitly says that because they committed idolatry (I misswrote adultery and couldn't change it) Yahweh cursed them with homosexuality. It explicitly says that Yahweh gave them over to these desires.

By your record here you aren't interested in proof, or even evidence; you just want to polish your conspiracy theory thinking.

You are just changing the subject and dodging the question. PROVE IT! You cannot prove it can you? Just admit it.
