On-Topic WH Admits it Lied About All People Being Able to Keep Their Health Insurance

[Quoted Post: Removed]

What are you suggesting? Let them die in the street as quickly as possible since they're going to die anyway?

This thread has turned into a hate the poor and the hate the President fiesta.

One of the basic facts of Obamacare is that if you have a pre-existing condition - Your Covered. You can not be denied Insurance.
The young and Healthy will pay more to cover the older and sick, Thats how insurance works.
In case something should happen to you, Well, The Insurance will then work in your favor.

Yep, that's how it works. For car insurance, fire, flood, hail, etc insurance too. I'm paying for the people who live in coastal areas but there are very few hurricanes in the midwest. State Farm wants to keep their profits high.

Actually they will, and better. Truth hurts, I know.

The ACA requires health insurance policies actually insure the customers. The days of selling junk policies are over. That's what so many don't understand.

Lies hurt. Obama deliberately lied to pass a law. His credibility and legacy is forever harmed.

Now it seems his PR firm -- NBC News - has an interview with him and he sort-of, kind-of apologizes for being caught lying.

Sad, isn't it, that in order to do good in America, you're forced to lie? Republicans have destroyed the political process. Glad you see it my way.

Bottom line ... the POTUS is a liar and will have to live with the fact that the law that bears his name was passed and promoted through a series of deliberate lies.

It has nothing to do with either kindness or dignity. It is clear that you have no idea about how insurance works, or that the issuance of it is based on actuarial tables.

If you want to give these people welfare, knock yourself out, but don't call it something which is clearly is not..

Which is why healthcare shouldn't be up to private insurance to begin with.

The President stated he is looking at methods to get the junk insurance back into the exchanges tonight. Well whenever he interviewed with Chuck Todd. Confident that consumer if given the option of a big stinky pile of shit or a decent plan for similar prices, they will choose the better plan.

Cathleen Sebelius is also reporting that the website - not fixed yet - has risen in production to 17,000 an hour. Additionally, the call center average wait time is 30 seconds to get your plan. The bottom line is when this thing gets fixed (meaning the website mostly), then they will easily meet their enrollment goals and this will be a non story. No doubt the republican party will run on it for the next ten years. Or More!! Still to most Americans it will be clear which party is ONLY capable of governance and which is capable of simple minded school yard name calling. Oh wait was I name calling... bwahahahaha....

How being against the ACA will work out for republicans:

waUpcP3.jpg

They probably wont be wearing the 1890's era leather helmet though..... just the brain injury.

P.s. that is Ted Cruz hitting the wall, from left to right the guy looking amazed with a "WTF" look on his face, is the republican moderates, the two on the right are democrats laughing gleefully at the lack of an opposition party......

When the Washington Post skeptically appraises the Obama health care debacle, placing the lion's share of the blame with the White House and gives the White House a very tough three out of four Pinocchio noses as a relative lack of truthfulness and honesty with the public.. it doesn't matter at all to me about the blind support it still gets a lot here. Yep, the Republicans lie...Democrats misspeak, make little errors. The crap that is Obamacare..oh, excuse me, the "Affordable Healthcare Act" is only going to get worse as more gets implemented. It will prove to be a bureaucratic horror show...lol this website debacle is merely the dress rehearsal.

If the Democrats had been smart, they would have started slowly and allowed a voluntary program in a few states to try to work out the best solutions. Sebelius should resign out of sheer embarrassment anyone in the White House, after being warned by the designers things were not nearly ready, simply steered full speed ahead and damn if they didn't see the iceberg!

We need a movement of the center to get this country away from the far right and the far left who want to take over the Democratic Party. I don't want this country to be run by Tea Party reactionaries OR social engineers on the left, there is NO mandate for a Christian, "constitutional" Patriarchal conservative vision or a 'progressive", class and group oriented one. 40% of the public consider themselves centrist, not even 25% some degree of liberal, and a bit over 35% conservative. Cutting it down to the hard liners, perhaps around 10% are hard liberal-left, maybe 20% hard right. That leaves at least 70% of the people who aren't spoken for,and don't want a hard right or left turn. They want an America that works for everyone to the greatest possible extent, and while they have principles and hold opinions for the most part they seek an America whose leaders come to as much consensus as possible, and in disagreement want to keep things as civil as possible. If the parties(very much so in the GOP, increasingly so in the Democratic Party) continue to allow their activists to control the agenda and seek rigid adherence to ideology it will do nothing more but continue tearing this country apart. I don't care about the ideologists at all... I care that my country is being pulled into a battle of political wills that don't represent a nuanced understanding or appreciation of America but caricatures instead. It particularly galls me on the left because they're supposed to be the most "enlightened" They say they know what's best for us... they say there is no black and white, they say they see nuance and complexity yet are as blinded by their own ideological self assuredness as the "simpletons" on the right.

Well we can't afford EITHER as a country.

Problem is we are a third world country in terms of medical care.

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

While I will stake no claims on the bible, it is true that we are judged by how we treat the least of us. The sad fact of the matter is WE are the richest country on earth and we can afford to do what every other country has done a thousand times over. In the scripture above, the King refers to the right and the left. We use those terms poorly in politics. All of the left aren't mental and neither are all of the right. What I find embarrassing and utterly dumbfounding about this country is how people can be duped into believing we can't do these things. The problem with our spending is the removing of a tax code that equally taxed based on how much a benefit you receive from our system. While numerically that amount does not equal the debt owed, it does put that moeny back into play for the middle class which is dying very rapidly. With a healthy and sustainable paid middle class, this country could easily clear the tax burden needed to afford to care for the least of us.

It is disingenuous to claim the left has moved left in running this country. It is almost impossible to layout anything done and claim it is farther left than traditional values of either party or America. Richard Nixon KNEW the need for a healthy middle class was an absolute necessity for a sustained wealth of the nation. One of those ways was actually being physically healthy to work and grow. Had Watergate never happened, then without a doubt Nixon would have put healthcare up and passed it with republican support on a market based plan. The current market based plan was developed by republicans. It was molded into the shape it is today based off of republican input and received ZERO nay votes by republicans who implemented this law.

No. It is abundantly clear, to anyone with eyes, that one party has warped left while another made a lane change to get closer to the median. Republicans seriously working to govern ALL of the people and not just their constituents will lead to greatness for that party, BUT that does not appear to be their logical direction in the next few years.

Pres. Obama is now apologizing that people misunderstood him when he said many times that people could keep their insurance.

http://news.yahoo.com/president-obama-he’s-sorry-for-americans-losing-insurance-plans-233753421.html

Here is Washington Post's timeline & videos with Obama's "if you like it, you can keep it"

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...promise-that-people-can-keep-their-insurance/

Mr. President, I was satisfied with my insurance plan and I don't want to pay over twice my previous monthly costs for my insurance, to cover things like maternity care which I will never use as a gay man. What are you going to do about it? You told me that I could keep my insurance if I liked it.

You're missing the point of how insurance works. It's like saying "Mr. President, recently I was shocked to discover that car insurance covered my neighbour's minivan, when I don't even own that minivan, nor, clearly, would I ever drive one. What are you going to do about it?"

Insurance pays for things that aren't about you, because it is about pooling risk. That is the main point of this financial product.

Laughable, as usual. You can only decide your fate if you have actual options to choose from. Right now private insurance companies and the republicans in government decide individuals' fate.

What's laughable is the moocher mindset you display.

You have to be kidding if you think Obama or the current Democrats are hard left! I realize there certainly are far left organizations but they are far from in control or becoming into control unlike the slick shit tea baggers and extreme right wing both in power and the leaders blasting on cable TV and AM farmer radio stations 24/7.
The white house doesn't take its stance based on MSNBC big Al show. The hard right certainly does from the tub a lard blow hards both in commercial media and the pulpit.

What's laughable is the moocher mindset you display.

Mooching from whom? You are saying people that if they are sick and can't afford the US exuberant costs of treatment, they should die. And then you're making it to be about mooching? What planet did you land from? O.o

Also, in making fun of my mindset, you actually avoided answering my post.

.. and millions of Americans will not have insurance next year because of him.

??? That's a rather wild assertion.

So people with terminal diseases don't deserve kindness and dignity. Got ya.

Not all pre-existing conditions are terminal. In fact most aren't. Yet you still want to deny them insurance. Why?

Profit.

If you want to give these people welfare, knock yourself out, but don't call it something which is clearly is not..

Tell that to the Republicans who conceived this joke.
