Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2024-25

I had picked up a homemade Kielbasa at Adams market.

So I cut up a large head of cabbage. Nestled the Kielbasa on top and added a few Yukon Gold Potatoes and a quartered onion and a few whole garlic cloves.

It's steaming gently. I have rye bread with caraway and nice Pommery mustard. All I need is some good beer.
 
I was sitting on the front porch enjoying the heavy rain and winds.

Now I'm searching for food.
 
I felt like I needed some change and excitement in my life today.

I'm having shredded wheat instead of oatmeal.

There is a part of me that would like a break from oatmeal...but I don't know what to substitute that will work. Oatmeal is healthy--and, importantly for my fragile grocery budget--cheap. But I get a bit tired of cleaning the pan I cook it in...

IIRC Shredded Wheat was my father's standard for years and years.

You could also enjoy those winds elsewhere. I assume, at least, that the heavy winds are the result of stuffed cabbage night. :lol:
 
In June we purchased a painting from a gallery in Montreal, but had it shipped off its stretcher (5'x5') and then had it re-stretched by our local framer in the city.

Today was largely spent in renting a U-Haul and transporting it back to the farm.

It is really glorious and sensual and evocative and the cats are just full of sniffs around it now as it leans temporarily against the entry gallery wall.


A reward for putting up with client bullshit.

At least, since it was a nude beach, there was no hole blasted through the rear of a new swim suit. :lol:

Poor seagull...

Although some would say it's one less seagull to crap on convertibles parked with their tops down.:lol:
 
I'm washing a load of laundry to dry outside...

I have limited line space, so I do smaller loads. So I save the energy of running the dryer, but over time I use more hot water and detergent. I have to think I'm probably still coming out ahead, but who knows?
 
I want to call my barber and make an appointment for a haircut and then walk around the block, but I know that I will probably have to leave a message for my barber and then won't be able to leave the house while I wait for his return call. I guess that I will walk first and then call the barber.
