I just ate a salad. I noticed the salad dressing bottle claims that the dressing was made with "real pickles." I don't think I've ever encountered a fake pickle, but I'm glad I'm saved from that undoubtedly horrible fate.

Cooking an elegantly late supper that probably won't taste very elegant. Oh, well. It was fast to pour stuff into to the pot to cook, and it will be cheap.

Came home from work and sat outside smoking a cigarette and listened to the crickets chirping. Damn bastards are looking for sex partners in the middle of the night in the city. HMMMM :LOL:
 
I just went through my junk mail that I have been putting aside for a few months and there are 21 organizations that I can contribute to, 6 political and 15 charitable or religious. If I wrote a $25 check to each it would be $525. I do want to contribute to Sherrod Brown from Ohio but I am going to have to think about what else because I don't want to contribute much now.

Before that I came back form the bank after renewing a CD saving account. If I renewed it for 5 months I could get 4.65% interest, but for less time it would only be 3%. My car is almost 17 years old but still running and I thought about getting a new car before the end of the year and using that for a down payment, but I went with 5 months because I wanted the better interest. I keep putting off a new car and I guess that I will still put off a new car for awhile.
 
Coping.

I am realizing that now with more than double the load of projects and clients since May, I am going pretty much one day at a time....if I can make my way through all the stuff coming at me each day until I leave the office at 3:30 to come home and finish the working day, I am still surviving.

I could make more this year than I have for the last 15 years........but God I wasn't ready to deal with all of it.

This afternoon, I am also trying to organize electricians, arborists, roofers, our apiarist and a few others to deal with all the shit in our lives outside of work and I am out of steam today.

But I have a referral to help me with the inflammation in my chest. So let's drink to that.
 
Up from an attempted nap...lost a big chunk of sleep last night as Mizzy needed big snuggles when I disturbed her in the night to turn over and then started thinking about a mile long list of things at work that needed doing....

And then this morning, just as I started doing them, I got called in for an urgent CT scan...so my work day got chopped up into bits.

My last meeting today is at 5:15 so I thought I could grab a bit of a snooze.

^ I am trying to get the taste of the Iodine contrast out of my mouth from the injection for the CT today....normally it isn't as long lasting...trying a nice Tuscan red to neutralize it. :D

I do love that feeling though where it feels like you are pissing yourself when they inject it.
 
Enjoying this morning's first cup of coffee. Seeing what's new on JUB. Starting to get hard in anticipation of a great jerk off session after I'm done with JUB.
 
End of a busy week....actually did get an hour's nap this afternoon...I am running on sleep deficit this week.
 
Waiting for my great-nephews to show up for a visit. Yesterday I heard that my great-nephews, 9 and 5, from Toledo, a 2 hour drive away, had an event in Cleveland and would stop by for awhile. The 9 year old has asthma and is allergic to to dust and mold. We don't clean enough and have a lot of dust and mold. I spent all afternoon and a little time yesterday cleaning and some more time this morning. I was beat yesterday because I normally don't do much work. I see them about every 5 years, so I am looking forward to the visit.
