  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What are you eating for dinner tonight?

Salad with shiitake mushrooms, fresh dill, carrots, scallions
Homemade French bread (I'm on a bread-baking kick right now)
A classic rustic Leek & Potato Soup (the greatest soup of all)

ham sandwich on thin bun
mustard
thin onion slice
cuppa cocoa

>>>It's pasta elbows, ground beef, stewed tomatoes. I added onions tonight.

I've been calling it Beef Noodle Casserole for years, because that's what they called it at the dining hall in college. Stouffer's calls it macaroni beef.

Well, yeah....

But that Stouffer's stuff is crap. Like most ALL frozen dinners these days, unfortunately....

It's easier and better just to make it yourself... Plus, like E said it gets better the next day...

It's yum and cheap to make. And the leftover is sooo good the day after.

.......that's old fashioned goulash...... ;)

Chop suey is usually cubed pork, bean sprouts, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots all cooked together with the liquid somewhat thickened and served over rice, usually with chow mein noodles. Soy sauce is a must....... :p

Don't get me started on the wonders of "Stir-Around" ! ;)

What is it ? Well, it's hamburger and sauteed onions and mushrooms all "stirred around" with good ol' cream of mushroom soup and poured over mashed potatoes.

I don't wanna hear about how awful it is for you, when I was a kid that shit was the bomb.

(Of course, now I realize it was a 'family favorite' because it was so cheap to make, but I didn't know that back then... ;))

That's the damnedest chop suey I never heard of...... ](*,)

Prime Rib at Terrible Herbest in Las Vegas

vietnamese is probably my favorite overall cuisine... i crave it at least weekly
Last night I had awesome Vietnamese in a Saint Paul restaurant. Mmmmm. With fish sauce for dipping!

Tonight we had leftovers of the pork butt I made Sunday.

Tomorrow? Roast Beast! (Apologies in advance for the vegans)[-X

I baked a chicken. Made homemade mashed potato's and gravy. Corn and dinner rolls. My mom taught me how to cook. I do a pretty good job if I must say so.

My boyfriend made us black bean burritos, guacamole, and cilantro rice. I usually cook (because I enjoy it) but food tastes better when someone else makes it, I've realized. You get only the pleasure and none of the work!

Okay it's not more turkey veggie soup.

Well, okay, it starts with turkey veggie soup, but I put it in the crock pot and crumbled up some dry Ramen noodles and a just a whisper of the enclosed seasoning packets and then dumped in some chopped tomatoes and some fresh cilantro and a little olive oil and parmesan cheese...

And what's it going to come out like ?

I have no flipping idea !

But, it's not yet more turkey soup, that's for sure, by golly.

No turkey soup here.

(help me) ;)
