Attention What are you having for dinner?

What do you mean by "fresh spaghetti?" Where do you buy that...like at a deli??
I think he just meant as he goes down the pasta aisle the spaghetti hurls cuss words at him.

You can buy some fresh pasta in the grocery store. Buitoni puts out fresh spaghetti and fettuccine and tortellini that's pretty good. Meaning not dried. Cooks very quickly. I go to a place in Lodi NJ called Vita-Mia that makes great fresh pasta. I prefer the mouth feel of fresh fettuccine for Alfredo. Richer and more scrumptious.

Thanks for the info!

Today was chinese food. It was my once a month run to NH to pick up cigarettes. I come back and hit up the chinese restaurant in Medford that I love.

Unfortunately while at the grocery store I was down wind from the Popeye's Fried Chicken and it got me craving it.

As always the chicken was delicious - but the breasts keep getting smaller and the price of the french fries was ridiculous.

So once again I will say "No more Popeye's" but I know at some point the craving will return...

Which is why you should always wear a clothes pin on your nose when shopping!

But what is Popeye doing selling chicken? I thought spinach was his thing.

I can imagine that we've long been in an era when chicken breasts get smaller as the breasts on actresses/models/celebrities get bigger.

My dinner--such as it was--was some canned "Ranch Style Beans." I have never visited a ranch, so I don't know if they are very authentic.

I also had a salad, although only I only had lettuce left for it. I'll have to go to the spend an arm and leg store, er, I mean grocery store tomorrow.

Had a nice garden salad for lunch at work. Sitting down now to a baked salmon filet in herb sauce and some fresh rice with butter.

Translation: they added chili powder. Still, I love ranch beans, but with onions and rice.

Go ahead and say it: Whole Foods

They probably are taking a page from KFC's playbook and "tripletting".

I have sentimental memories of grilled cheese sandwiches appearing for lunch when I was young... Probably not long after they figured out how to make cheese.

I have gone dairy free, and this is one the things I do miss having...

Dinner was Saffron Hill Pad Thai, which was on sale, although not as attractive a sale as it was a while back. But one takes the sales one can get, I guess. I had a salad, too. I will neither confirm nor deny that I might have had chocolate cupcake bought out of the bakery clearance section.

Oops..should have been Saffron Road. Not sure why I thought "hill."

I thought about going dairy free.

Then I thought about ice cream.
I get dairy free ice cream occasionally. I was tempted this week, since Ben & Jerry's on sale. But I was able to tell myself no, you don't need all those calories! But the choices are limited, but it's "good enough" for me at the moment.

But I do miss the homemade ice cream my mother made with one of those home freezers with a cylinder that gets chilled overnight in a freezer. That was the best ice cream I've ever had.
