I get a lot of cravings and memories of eating things from the past.

I loved in 7 grade the school cafeteria would have these bagel and cake sales set up at lunch time.

The bagels were brought in from some good deli.

Dinner last night was an everything bagel with thick cream cheese and a Tru-Moo chocolate milk. One craving down.

At first it sounded odd, since I never heard of beer cheese. I've never seen it, but on thinking about it, this is a flavor combination that just might work. I'll probably try it if I ever see it being sold.

Co-incidental to Ed's thread about cooking pancakes and people mentioning that in Holland and England they are eaten for dinner (or more like supper), we are having corn pancakes.

Even though we have our own maple syrup...I prefer my pancakes only with butter and sometimes some creme fraiche and crumbled bacon.

We always have breakfast sausage as well.

I imagine, however, that the combination of beer and cheese would probably work better if the beer was something other than a mass market American beer.

Old joke: What does American beer and sex in a canoe have in common? Both are fucking near water.

I'll probably try it if I ever see it being sold.

Something I read suggests that soup is only available at Walmart. So I won't be getting any--I find Walmart is just too classy for the likes of me.

Although I suppose in time it might show up at other retailers--that has happened with other stuff in the past, like Persil laundry detergent.

France has crêpes, and as my current lover is a French Parisian, we sometimes eat them in crêperies, many of them savory.

However, he berated me for trying to order crêpe suzette, as he is of the opinion that that is for tourists.

So the pancake drama continues.

A twelve pack of soup is $23.98. Free shipping if you order more that $35. But the site says there is only one 12 pack available. Well, heck. $6.99 or whatever for shipping or a minimum order of $35.
So a 12 pack plus 6 more single cans. Free shipping, right?
Suppose to be here tomorrow on Monday. Sure.... more like Wednesday.

Maybe FedEx will simply set the package down and not toss it over the gate at the property line.

me203 is right, Walmart. Just so you know? I didn't like it. All I tasted was chorizo. It was chorizo soup. And not even a good chorizo.
