Attention What are you having for dinner?

The hub hub and I went to Benihanas on Ventura for dinner. It weird how everytime I walk in, it smells exactly how it was when I was a little boy.
I hate their communal tables, any communal tables in restaurants because you can't help but listen to the conversation next to you. Philippe's French dip in downtown LA has those tables. About two months ago we went there for lunch and we sat so close to a group of girls that I almost said to one, "You're too good for him."

I am being kept in the dark.

I see my partner working at prep for some skillet dish and I am intrigued because Saturdays are always the days for comfort dishes. Usually pasta but I know this one is somehow about potatoes and in the oven.

Pasta.

The sauce was carefully prepared, using my years and years of experience with carefully removing the cap from the jar of sauce, pouring into pan, and heating it.

It was our butcher's housemade sausages braised in kale with duchesse potatoes.
A real cold winter's night meal.

Whatever it is, it's going into our new air fryer. The thing makes everything crispy in second. I don't know why we didn't get one of these magic machines sooner. I've been sticking everything it it. Frozen coconut shrimp, done in seconds and perfectly crisp, Russ's hand when he's sleeping, parts of our dogs they don't need, I can even make jerky.

About to order a very healthy dinner of a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and extra pepperoni and a Coke.
