Swiss, yes I yodel,
Dutch, big families and lots of children....
Scotch, and they gave us a haven from persecution,

Dads side = dutch and german
Moms side = irish and scottish

In no particular order... Spanish, French, Italian, Irish, German, English, Swedish, Dutch, Belgian.

If it's in Western Europe, I can probably trace my ancestry there. My dad's side is mostly the Mediterranean countries, and my mother's family comes from Northern Europe. Unfortunately, I got my mother's pasty complexion.

I'm 2nd generation American...

My grandparents all come from Ukraine (the OLD COUNTRY as its referred to in our home :lol:)...

My OLDER brothers and sisters can SPEAK Ukranian -- but by the time I was born -- we only spoke English (even though my father had a thick accent)... :confused:

We have a HARD TIME tracing our family back past the Bolshevik Revolution -- because MOST of my relatives were killed by the Russians for their property -- and all records were destroyed... ](*,)

THEREFORE, we were taught to NEVER trust the Russians!!! It worked well for the ERA that I grew up in... :lol:

Both of my parents are black......mama she's mixed...... white and black on both her moms and dads sides. I'm very fair hair'd and skinned.
 
Both parents are Argentine, grandparents on father's side spanish as well as my great-grandparents on my mother's side (both family's from Galicia), but i was born and raised in a Calabrian (italian) neighborhood in Chicago, hence my love for pasta!!!
 
It's true that a lot of people are taking about countries of origin rather than ethnicities in the strict sense, but many of these countries have cultures and histories that are so specifically identifiable they are useful working descriptions of our backgrounds.
