What was the last concert you went to?

The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in concert at Carnegie Hall last weekend.

Last night: The Gesualdo Six, a vocal sextet from England performing in a handsome Gothic Revival church near Times Square.

T h e y w e r e a m a r v e l .

It was one of those concerts where everyone was still and no one coughed or shifted because everyone was spellbound.

Here's one of the things they sang:

Last night. Darren Hayes at Town Hall, New York

My big gay heart exploded when Bright Light Bright Light appeared as the opening act. (It's really Rod Thomas, Welshman living in NY, who performs and DJs by that name.) I've been a fan for years. He had two cute backup dancers. And he said this song of his is Darren Hayes' favorite. It's an older tune Rod remixed last year.

Darren was awesome! He danced A LOT. He did his new solo work as well as most of the Savage Garden hits. (Almost nothing from his solo LP Spin, which I love, but I'll forgive.)
He ended with this song, which was a great positive feeling to leave with!

Darren is on a world tour but he's only doing 3 US shows. I'm so glad I caught one.

I went to a fantastic Fleetwood Mac tribute called Rumours of Fleetwood Mac.
They're the only one endorsed by mick Fleetwood and he has actually performed with them too!

Last night for my birthday I went to see "Fire and Rain" a James Taylor Tribute Band. The lead singer sounds just like James Taylor. The band was great too.

Overall it was a great concert and a great birthday!

Happy belated birthday! 🎂

Carly Rae Jepsen at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, NJ June 3.

Despite a cold wind, it was total joy. She's awesome.

Taylor Swift.....no wait nobodys THAT gay! JK it was probably a Johnny Mathis Christmas at least 18 years ago.

Saturday, June 16th, Thad1527 and I went to see the Northcoast Men's Chorus show of the Disney Pride Show.

And it was wonderful. Disney is "franchising" this show to choruses across the USA. There's a clip from the Seattle Mens Chorus production on YouTube. Cleveland's was even better.

Just got in from Portland Gay Men's Chorus. They put on a Disney Pride concert.

It was not really my thing, but it was good.

Well, here's the trailer for the new piece I went to hear yesterday. It's pretty weird ...
