What was the last play that you watched?

Last night I saw "Breaking Up is Hard to Do" featuring the songs of Neil Sedaka. It is the second time for me seeing this show. I saw it at a previous local theatre which is now defunct. The show was great! It starred Barry Pearl who played Doody in the movie Grease.

Just got in from seeing Pretty Woman The Musical. 10/10

Not one of my favorite plays I have seen, but it probably is the best play I have seen. It ticked all my boxes.

The music worked, the writing worked, the staging worked, the lighting worked and the cast was amazing. Olivia Valli, Adam Pascal, Jessica Crouch, Kyle Taylor Parker and Trent Soyster were all standouts. Adam Pascal has the best voice I have heard in a play ever.

This is also the first play I have watched based on a movie where I saw the movie first that I liked it. Sister Act, The Bodyguard, Dirty Dancing, etc. all sucked to me. Though a couple of them had a scene I felt really worked.

I can't recommend Pretty Woman enough.

Last night I saw "Head Over Heels: The Musical." The show was good! It was very funny and the dancing was great too! The music was all from the Go-Go's! Never heard of this show before but I like the music from the Go-Go's and enjoyed it. Lots of risque jokes too!

Hadestown

8/10

First half was okay, but the second half was pretty great.

Last night I saw "Bent" at a small community black box theatre. The acting and show was great. Very intense story!

Last night I saw the National Touring Production of "Six." The music was great. I would have enjoyed the show more if the woman behind me in the theatre shut her mouth! She talked throughout the entire show. She was singing along too. I heard her voice over the dialogue. When the music and singing came on it drowned her out a little bit. She was obviously drunk and so was her husband! At one point she stood up, like she was at a concert, and the people behind her yelled at her to sit down. Then her husband stood up and started yelling back. I thought he was going to punch the person out! In all my years of attending live theatre I have never ever had this BAD an experience! Unbelievable! Some people do not belong at the theatre! No class! It was only an 80 minute show with no intermission. Otherwise, I would have gotten the manager or the person in charge to throw these people out! They were the only ones in the theatre behaving badly!

Got back a couple hours ago. Saw To Kill A Mockingbird with Richard Thomas.

10/10

The entire cast was great.

Local Community College production of Heathers the Musical/great cast and direction.

High school production of Treasure Island. 5/10

It was okay, but the story doesn't work as a play. Also the lead is trans and they kept making jokes about it. It was odd.

Just got back from seeing Disney on Ice: Road Trip.

It was fun. We were allowed to take pictures and eat and drink in the arena. They were not like most places these days that have a thousand rules.

Was supposed to see Jagged Little Pill tonight, but our show got cancelled. Most of the cast is sick. I was looking forward to it as well.

Last night I saw the National Touring Production of Hamilton! It was the second time seeing this show. I totally enjoyed it.

If you have the chance to see it, I highly recommend it!

Tonight I saw "The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told" by Paul Rudnick. The performers did a good job, but I am not sure what I thought of the play. I think that I liked it, but not extremely. It was about God, she, creating Adam and Steve and two lesbians and their lives through time.

Saw a community production of Seussical The Musical today.

9/10

It was great. Very catchy music and all the actors were decent, kids and adults. I would love to see if big budget version.

Got back a couple hours ago. Saw To Kill A Mockingbird with Richard Thomas.

10/10

The entire cast was great.

Richard Thomas really has made for himself an excellent career as a stage actor.
Unfortunately, I think he's still hampered a bit by having played John-Boy Walton because the Hallmark Channel, still, to this day, airs The Waltons every day.

Agreed. I live an hour from where the play was and it took us almost the entire trip to remember his name. We all just remembered John Boy.
