  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What would be your dream job?

One would be either an astronaut..because I've always wanted to be known for something incredible, like me being the first person to walk on Mars or something

OR...

Working for College football live on ESPN as a commentator. I'm already kind of heading in that direction as far as the direction my major can take me..and if Rece Davis graduated from here (Alabama) and can become the front man for CFL, then why can't I?

That may be the case; but he should learn to pick his battles wisely.

In any event he showed his level of intelligence by not being able to figure out what "wine up" meant in the context of the entire post.

Nit picking at tiny things instead of taking it as a whole was his downfall.

He just quoted "wine up on me in the club" and goes on to call me illiterate lol

So it was my duty to shame him out of his ignorance.

Classic case of who laughs last laughs best.

i believe rareboy read more than he posts so ......

Well then he should have focused on my other posts.

Either way he picked the wrong battle this time when he quoted "wine up on me in the club."

Oh to be a fly on the wall when he sees how he put his foot in his mouth

There is an old saying: If you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all.

If you chose not to then expect the consequences.

BRING IT ON

Alot of these "dreams" some of you have are very realistic; so just believe in yourself and your talents and you will achieve.

I fully expect each and every one of you to bump this thread whenever your dreams do come true ..|

That was fast...i guess you are living your dream now.

Sorry. Maybe I should have made that clear by posting that somewhere in this thread. Sorry about that.

Come on everyone..take a break from your hard work and lets wine away the ignorance (!) (!) (!)

There ain't enough wine in Napa Valley to wash away the ignorance displayed on JUB the last week or so...

Lex

Lord, you and me both. I've almost never had to deal with the "fame" aspect of what I do, but when I do, I HATE it. It stuns me that some people want to actually be famous for being famous. Not that I think that that's wrong or whatever, but because it seems to have all the negative crap (photographers, lack of privacy, complete public scrutiny) without any of the positives. :)

ol no battle here.

I just had to make him look foolish; talking about i am illiterate when it turns out that he was just ignorant to what wining was lol.

A person needs to be educated before they try an insult someone so as not to have it backfire on them.

Check the response to your other thread.

Look foolish?

No.

I just pointed out that you are just regurgitating the dross of the illiterate and poorly educated. Like the student we had in our offices one summer.

Trust me.

I'm the one who gets to laugh last and hardest at the drivel running out of the corner of your mouth.

As far as I know, there are no Pulitzers being awarded to the retards who are barfing up what they believe to be the clever re-imagination of the English language....or the mouth breathing idiots who are lapping it all up and thinking that the meaningless phrases actually mean anything more than being the mantra of those who rode the short bus to school.

>>>to be totally honest, I'm much more scared of suceeding and ending up in a spotlight than I am in trying and failing. I've spent my entire life running away from the spotlight and being noticed. The thought of it even now makes me break out in cold sweat.

A friend of mine from way back (think second grade) took to writing. He sort of didn't like the idea of being famous either, so he's used a pen name. Ends up it's worked extremely well. He modestly plays up the "elusive identity", and most of his publicity shots feature him in shadow or with his back turned. He WILL play the fame game when he feels he needs to, and he doesn't mind having his face out there when he has to go on TV or what have you. But he gets to dictate much of that, and he's very rarely approached by anyone who recognizes him. Best of both worlds. :)

I have my dream job of being an architect, but my ultimate dream within my career is to design an incredible skyscraper to be built in New York, Chicago, or Hong Kong. I'm still working on getting to that level...

I think it will. He once said, "I'm so happy that people are fan of my work, and not of me." That's what I aim for, too. And luckily, it usually pans out that way.

Writer/ script-writer - for television, movies or video games/ Actor.

Those would be my dream jobs.

I've always thought it would be neat to be the Resident Manager of a high-end Summer Camp.

Most of the time the place is vacant and you have a big compound all to yourself. Usually there's a lake or mountains or both so the setting is wonderful.

And since I like to plan events, running the 3 or 4 3-week camp sessions would be a piece of cake.
