The Telegraph was one of the most strident advocates of Brexit, I search in vain for any remorse for its part in scamming voters into an act of economic sabotage.
Non of them anywhere will apologise for the harm they have done.
 
Of course not. None of them will. because the billionaires made out like bandits. And rrrZZia got almost everything it wanted...although I don't think it counted on Britain being right in there to support Ukraine...

That's the difference between the EU and NATO. I've never heard anyone seriously suggest that the UK should withdraw from the latter.
 
There was a 3.3-magnitude earthquake in northern England last night. No damage apparently and no injuries or loss of life. I was surprised to read that the British Geological Survey detects about 300 earthquakes annually, although the vast majority go unnoticed.

I swear she has only that one shapeless shift. I think that the Palace is making a strategic PR error with the card. It should have had the heir and his brood in there as well to project continuity for the Hanoverian Haus of Windsor. Instead, the pic just reinforces Charles as a superannuated seat filler with his one time mistress reminding us every day of the departed.

The strongest earthquake I can remember in England brought down a couple of chimney pots. When you see the devastation caused in other countries, we're very lucky not to get that level of seismic activity here.
 

Parade attacker jailed for 21 years and six months​


A man who used his car as a "weapon" to plough into more than 130 people at Liverpool FC's victory parade has been jailed for 21 years and six months.

Paul Doyle, 54, drove at crowds "in a rage" after his "anger had completely taken hold of him" shortly before 18:00 BST on 26 May, Liverpool Crown Court heard.

He admitted 31 charges including causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and dangerous driving and affray, with victims ranging from a six-month-old baby to a 77-year-old woman.

That appears to be the allegation. No doubt more will come out in court.

I note that he was charged in 2024, that the offences are alleged to have taken place in Woodstock, that Blenheim Palace is in Woodstock and that Wikipedia says that the Duke and Duchess separated in 2024. All purely coincidental I'm sure.
