Most of the pictures posted in this forum fall in to two catagories: Slim/muscular guys with little body fat, or bears. I suspect that most of us are more average, but average guys may be less likely to post a pic.

Whats your BMI (body mass index)? Use this link to calculate it:

http://www.bmi-calculator.net/

If you want, include you age....average BMI creeps up quickly with age.

I'll start: 23.9, in my 50's

I'm 6'2⅝" and I weigh 223lbs... you finger it out while I'm taking a poop___ brb

And gorgeous, even when talking about poop ^^

BMI really isn't really accurate at all when determining how it affects your body because it doesn't take into account the ratio between fat and muscle.

I'm 6'1" and roughly 180lbs. My BMI comes out as 23.7, which I'm shocked at! Definitely put on a few pounds since graduating! D'oh!

now wait, technically I haven't weighed myself since that poop I just took, and I'd estimate that dude at about 2lbs conservatively, so.....maybe I have a fighting chance here?

29.1 - overweight. But don't forget that BMI is a very crude measurement, and is now pretty much discredited in favour of other metrics.

I just had it done at my gym a few weeks ago....this formula lists it at 25.09. Since my physical and gym calc, I've lost 4 pounds and I still have at least 6 more to be at my ideal weight. Hardest thing to lose are the love handles....I'm tiring of crunches and cardio! However, I work out at least 5 times a week, do at least 4 miles a day, and got my cholesterol to just into triple digits....so I don't agree with the diagnosis of the calc on this index.....

And ShihTzuTylenol....you need to take your clothes off so we can more accurately guage your BMI!

22.94 - not too bad considering what a slack arse I've become at 43.

29.

And I agree we need nude pics of ShihTzu.

I've been crushing on ShihTzuTylenol for months now. :luv2:

And that big pic of him isn't going to help my affections go away.

They have Tesco in Paris?

I wouldn't have thought the French would appreciate large British supermarket chains. [-X

offtopic:

My BMI is about 27 or 28 (overweight) :?

My BMI is 23.05 (normal weight). Back in February I was in the "over-weight" category.

Baby steps!

19.1

BMI is really only accurate if you do not work out.

If you have more muscle mass than the average person it will say you are unhealthy when you are not.

The BMI is only used for life insurance purposes and has been discredited by all physiologists as a way to measure a "healthy" person.

For kicks anyways...

Age: 25
Height: 75in
Weight: 172lbs
BMI: 21.5

I fall into the "healthy" range (19.7-24) so that's good I guess.

185 cm, 93 kg.

Go figure.

Even without a calculator, I'm definitely obese ](*,)

Actually, BMI is quite accurate when combined with other measurements. That is why in a nutrition clinic, you never get BMI as the sole indicator of ideal body comparison. This is especially true for people with systemic diseases, fluid overload (like patients with chronic kidney failures), and wasting syndromes (like cancer patients and AIDS patients).
