Dan One down, five more to go, with near-winter temperatures here (highs between 34 and 41, or single digit Celsius). That's not bad at all. After that, it's nowhere but "up." There was not a lot of winter here, while the northern Atlantic USA and Canada have felt much more winter (though still not terrible in all).

Dan One down, five more to go, with near-winter temperatures here (highs between 34 and 41, or single digit Celsius). That's not bad at all. After that, it's nowhere but "up." There was not a lot of winter here, while the northern Atlantic USA and Canada have felt much more winter (though still not terrible in all).

Oh man, is it ever the first real Spring weather here. The birds are chirping and there are gentle breezes carrying sunbeams to the porch. We threw open the front doors. Daphne is pouring in. It's so nice.

Tonight and tomorrow we're getting SOME of the snow that we missed the first ten weeks of the year. (Even CHICAGO had no snow in January or February - which has never happened before.)

It's "only" a Winter Weather Advisory here, though, not a Winter Storm Warning (or Blizzard Warning like in the east) - probably around 4 inches or 10cm - no Snowmageddon in the forecast here.
