Today on the weather report they said that parts of the metropolitan area had zero snow sticking to the ground and parts of the metro area had 5 feet of snow. My west side had zero snow sticking to the ground and the higher elevations to the east side had lake effect snow of varying depths up to 5 feet.

It snowed last night. It's stopped but we have about 3 inches on the ground. Streets are clear but everything looks pretty. Temperature 28° F ,(-2 C). From my front door:

I noticed that by the contents of my rain barrel we had almost four feet of rain in December; that includes a bunch of hail that melted.
