What's Your Weather Like?

Another sunny day...we had a bit of rain this week so I might need to go out and mow down any of the tall weedy grasses and other things coming up in the lawns.

I am feeling the nights getting cooler. The changes of the season in New England. Damn leaves will be all over the place.

Over my lifetime, I have experienced many of these events at this time of the year...and it looks like they now follow me from southern Ontario to north and east of Toronto.

I think my generator cord is still frozen but I will have to see what we can do.

At least we have some firewood in the garage if it is a short term outage...but each ice strom seems to be more and more catastrophic.

A storm is on the way that may bring more wintry chill and snow. Not bad, we missed some snow this year.

It was freezing a few days ago, but it has been thawing again, so no outdoor ice skating on the canals and lakes here.

This is crazy. It is 72 right now. Going down to 19 tonight and a high of 25 tomorrow. The last time it got this warm this time of year, we had tornados when the cold front hit. I'm very worried.

We seem to have dodged it.

There was a blue (snow) patch that was in the centre of the system that for once tracked in our favour and we ended up having only a small amount of icing befor the system moved east.

But at least this time, we put some prep into it and filled a tub with water and various containers for drinking water, etc.

Off Lake Erie we’re getting steady 30 mph (48kmh) winds with gust of 60mph (96kmh)

Ah winter in Southern California.

It was 82 and sunny today - had dinner on the deck.
