Which gay movie do you like best?

I think Latter Days was good as well. Some others are: Get Real (my favorite), Mambo Italiano, Brokeback Mtn, I Think I Do and Torch Song Trilogy.

love,valour,compassion- is one of my favs. and brokenhearts club

I've seen all of the above except for Sommersturm, which I'll look for. Another German movie that I saw at Outfest is Stadtgespräch (Talk of the Town), which is not completely gay but has a prominent gay subplot. When I saw it at the festival, it had subtitles, but when I ordered the DVD from Germany, it came without the subtitles! I can understand the German, but most of my friends can't, and I think my brother would like it if he could understand it. Since obviously someone had already done the work of making the subtitles, I cannot understand why they did not make it onto the DVD.

My favorite gay DVD is Boys Life, a collection of three shorts, one directed by Robert Lee King, whom I met at the festival and who lived not far from me in Venice. I also like his movie Pscho Beach Party, which I've watched several times and is a great summer movie.

Enjoyed Brokenhearts Club and Brokeback Mountain.

Hard to choose ...

USA films: Latter Days, Hate Crime, Kiss me Guido and The Wedding Banquet.

Foreign: All from Spain, Lucas Me Queria a Mi was a PISSER! :rotflmao: Bear Cub and Second Skin were also very good. They have subtitles by the way, even I sometimes have trouble understanding Castillian-spoken Spanish!

Classics: The Children's Hour from the 60's is awesome, though lesbian-themed. Rope is not gay per se, but the undertones are so obvious.

Brother to Brother, Velvet Goldmine, Transamerica, Adam & Steve, and It's My Party are all excellent. Latter Days, Sommersturm, and I Think I Do are favorites of mine as well.

The best gay movie EVER was 1970's "Boys In The Band". This movie is more quotable than "Casablanca" and "Sunset Boulevard" combined!

Yossi and Jager as well as Beautiful Thing are my faorites. There's quite a few movies listed in here that I haven't seen though, time to update my netlfix queue.

Beautiful Thing is by far the best.

Other good ones: Bent, Priscilla Queen of the desert, Hedwig and the angry inch, and Latter Days.

Urbania was disturbing...
