Droid, the thing is, lefties will admit this.
By contrast, righties really do think Fox is "fair and balanced".![]()
Plan it for your next vacation.![]()
Since Jack Springer wanted the proof, and Chance asked about it, here's the expose:

That's no better than the trash Beck parades around TV with. There's no hard proof in there, just circumstantial garbage woven together using with a ridiculous thesis based on her own bias.
I don't know if I can find a copy of the second segment online, but I'll try....I think you'll find it interesting.
(An aside: I'm having terrible trouble accepting the fact that the Republican Party has changed beyond all recognition...)
That was a good piece and I'm glad you re-posted it.
The first time I watched that I did a lot of pausing as I followed her on that website and used other sources to check out what she was saying -- and it all does check out.
And since it does check out, Droid, you can't just dismiss it as trash: the people she talks about really were pushing the effort to disrupt and derail the town meetings.
But as Jack pointed out, that doesn't mean that everyone who went to one of the town halls and asked not-exactly-friendly questions was a plant; it just means that there was an organization, run by political pros, backed by corporations, which sought to sway the direction and outcome of the town meetings. There's no way we can know whether they people they motivated comprised a majority of the 'Republican' views at the meetings -- but we do know that there were people motivated by them, because their presence was documented at some meetings.
It's hard proof of the effort and who was behind it -- nothing circumstantial about that at all. And it wasn't a ridiculous thesis; it was a connection she uncovered, not one she went looking to support. The only question she didn't address, which just happens to be one of the most important, was just how much impact that effort had.
That's where her journalism failed: she left me with the impression that all the opposition at the town hall meetings was drummed up and run by this one central organization, when in reality all she showed was that there was such an organization.
I have controlling parents who try to plan my vacation for me on my vacation days. This is also known as, stay at home and work you idiot.

But I WILL FIND A WAY TO GO AND PREVAIL.
:]
Oh, sorry, I didn't know you're living in your parent's home.
Do what your parents say.![]()
actually, I'm in college, but they're paying, so I have to listen them!

Oh. Well doesn't sound like they're really terrible, just strict. Right? And there are some great bars and clubs in San Diego, aren't there? I mean, to fill in until you can travel more.
It's about time they said it. Fox IS NOT actual news. It's nothing more than a branch of the Republican party.
yup, I mean obviously I can't tell them, I'm... you know, because they'll definitely stop any sort of financial assistance...
I'm a first year and I have yet to go exploring in SD!
