White House Official Fox News A Wing of the Republican Party

:X

<ponders>

I'll have to think about that one, Kulin. I'm not sure it applies to the Obama-ites, who were more idealistic...the inverted equivalent of the Reagan Democrats..

I'll think about it.

Okay, but while you ponder, consider the health care bill situation and why the whole thing is dragging out so long and taking the shape it is.
On that topic, this is worth reading: http://www.justusboys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=281751

Obama supporters who were Reagan Democrats.

Some people just don't learn.

Jack, Rachel has done some remarkable investigative reporting. It was she, for example, who exposed the town hall meeting organizers for what they really were. (They were pretending to be "grass-roots", but in actuality were funded by big business.)

Do you have a source to prove your claim?

Obamanites and Reganites have a lot in common a city on the hill with no real way of getting there. And, Obama is continuing with Regan's trickle down economics.

They both master how to woo the public with words, but...

You are right.

And I miss you. :(

I'm positive that all the critics of Fox News never actually watch it.....

Oh, good lord, Jack. Do I have to dig up Rachel's show?

It was very well researched, Jack, with screenshots, icons, names, dates, and places. What's more, the next day, she actually got one of the big shots to appear on the show. Not only did he not deny the fact that big business was behind it all, he actually bragged about it!

Man, those guys are so badly out of touch.

Sure -- I wanna see the proof.

Why would we waste our time? I've caught portions of O'Reilly and Hannity. It was so ridiculous, I couldn't tune in for more than 5 minutes. I've tuned in a little to FOX's news broadcasts, but not long enough to critique.

Palemale -- not sure how you can criticize something without watching it. No one is asking you to drink lye or eat rotten food.

My guess if you watched Special Report with Bret Baier for a week -- you would find out that you liked it. 6pm eastern/5pm central

it's not a waste of time to see the "other side" so that u can legitimately evaluate and perhaps criticize

it is necessary actually

soundbites or clips of anything is just not enough

glenn beck and sean hannity are outliers - they are carnival barkers who bark at the moon - all in the search for ratings

the idea of say "fox this, fox that" is just silly

and perpetuated by those who do not watch

which is by definition dishonest and lacking in value

I don't think I can agree with that one, Chance.

I used to watch Fox News on a more-or-less regular basis, until it became too far to the right. Now, I can't stand to watch it for more than a few minutes at a time.

What bewilders me the most is that some people really and truly believe it's "fair and balanced"... That one just doesn't compute.

And yet you insist that Rachel Maddow is a good journalist with no obvious bias...

I rarely get home before 8 pm. I watch Rachel Maddow and Keith Olberman, but channel surf a bit. Most times I've turned on FOX, it was O'Reilly or Hannity, but it has been awhile since I've seen them. I've said a few times that I can't really comment much on FOX because I only catch snippets on Huffington Post or while channel surfing. I accept that I've had limited exposure to FOX, and so don't have much to say about it. Huffington Post has shown one guy on FOX who has been critical of Republicans, but I forget his name.

She does have a bias, but she's also an excellent journalist. She's a great interviewer, has very good guests and is obviously extremely smart. She's not like Hannity or O'Reilly, who spout stupidness, shout over their guests and are generally ass lickers for the Republican Party.
