  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

Who doesn't know Abercrombie & Fitch here?

does anyone or has any one work(ed) at abercrombie ? do they pay good ? do u HAVE to wear their clothes all the time ? Also whats a group interview and how does it work ?

thanks

Everything Comet says is true! But, I use my friend's discount... Funny story. So I was an RA last year and two of my favorite residents worked at my two favorite stores. AE and Abercrombie... I got a lot of cute things for a cheap price and I loved it!!!

It could be worth it to work there if it isn't your primary source of income. Or if you're just looking for some spending money, and not money to live off of.

As far as a group interview, I can't speak for how AF does it, but the group interviews that I've been a part of (both participated and facilitated), have been relatively painless. The group interview is really just showing the employers how you act in social situations. The trick is just the same as a regular interview. Be yourself! You aren't going to get the job if you are acting like they want you to, and if you do, you probably wont like it for very long. Just relax! I assume since you're looking into this job, that you are somewhat of a social person, so just go in, have some energy and be yourself!

Good luck! And when you do get the job, don't forget your friends... They like Abercrombie and I'm sure they would love to get some discounted clothes, if possible!

you have to do a group interview to work at abercrombie?

for minimum wage?

really full of themselves they are.

i work at hollister currently and you do NOT have to wear the clothes but since you have to wear something that "looks like them", you may as well wear them since you get the discount...I believe its the same way with AnF

How could anyone afford A&F on a minimum wage, even with an employee discount? That's actually hilarious that they look so upscale, but in reality their employees are worse off than Walmart employees. Now everytime I look at those hot guys in the catalogs, all that I think of are the minimum wage grunts that sell the crap.

no that be MAD TV
not snl

Hahaha, those skits are hilarious. I always loved watching them.

I think Aflute04 nailed the group interview question. It's totally about being yourself in the interview not someone you think they want.

I would only expect minimun wage or something similar to it from Abercrombie.

Just came across this post through reddit.com and wanted to share because I know plenty of you would either be amused or wish you were in the area to see this. There was a apparently a "flash mob" of shirtless guys who went to A&F on 5th Ave the other day to celebrate the shirtless male. Check it out!

Oh that must have been a blast.

I got a kick out of the prima donna A&F model's response:

It’s tough to say what the model himself thought of us. He had a variety of reactions over the course of the mission. He was positioned in front of a wall at the entrance, so when the first couple of shirtless guys approached him, he had no knowledge that there were 100 more behind him in the store. He was very aggressive towards these first two agents. It probably didn’t help that the two guys happened to be both taller and more sculpted than he was. “At least I get paid to do this,” he scoffed at them.

There are four floors in the Abercrombie, so I divided everyone up into four groups by birthday month, to ensure we’d have an even number of men on each floor. Those on the second floor were out of luck, as they’d be shopping on the women’s only floor.

Hahaha. That's funny. Which one of you were there. Time to own up.

Wow, nice. I wanna be there when they have a big underwear sale.
112 men in their underwear shop at A&F ;)
