You are off to such a bad start here at JUB.
Someone isn't likely to even get to 100 posts from what I see so far......when the name calling starts...can temp ban be far behind?

Exactly. Today, we're getting much more support than ever, and previous generations have faught long and hard for this much acceptance. It honestly pisses me off that people are being so picky and whiny!

Why? I already adore him. Can we keep him? Pleaaase?
I agree. I don't know anything about this duo and haven't watched their videos or the Grammys yet but it's great seeing anyone who can influence, especially in an industry that's usually homophobic, supporting gay rights. Icon is too great a status yet but we should be grateful imo.
I'm sure he'll liven up the boards for a little while at least.
But he's already trying to punch well above his troll weight class.
Now this I agree with. Anyone who does or supposedly supports a big cause is suddenly a hero to the misguided youth of the world.
Oh Lord, are we seriously throwing out "icon" status to people on a whim these days?
MACKLEMORE: I brought donuts to work. They're in the breakroom. Help yourself.
JUBBER 1: Really? You didn't have to do that.
JUBBER 2: That was nice of you - thanks!
JUBBER 3: Thanks for the donuts, Mack!
PAT: Who is this Macklemore person who people won't shut up about? Of course, with the way people in this office are, they'll gush over absolutely anybody. What - he bought donuts? So? That's all it takes to get in the good graces here at the office? Clearly a transparent ploy to try to curry favor with the hoi polloi, but one that only I seem able to recognize as such. Wait - THAT's Macklemore? He's certainly not very attractive. There are plenty of other more attractive employees for them to moon over. Wait - he bought DAYLIGHT DONUTS? Those aren't even GOOD donuts. Someone with discerning taste would've purchased Delicious Donuts instead. And if this Macklemore person were really such a great employee, he'd offer to pitch in on the Henderson project. He almost certainly won't, since his commitment to the company is all about superficial appearances rather than true commitment. Meanwhile, all the other employees are clearing a spot on the wall for his "Employee Of The Century" award, as they're so easily conned by simple sweets. Why must I work with such sheep?

The industry is homophobic?
Hip Hop isn't known to be gay friendly, is it?
Well, he is supporting our cause. And if he's doing that, and people out there are listening, why are we dissing about him? Shouldn't we be glad someone's helping us out there?
I'm a little confused sometimes as to how people view things sometimes... :|
There's nothing rap/hip hop about Macklemore.
He's a pop star
