Who will be the first person to be killed at a Donald Trump rally?

You are making shit up. 33% of Bernie supports won't vote for Hillary. That is not a vote for Trump. The world is not black and white as you seem to think.

Faulty logic. Republicans vote in lockstep. They don't care who their candidate is. When you're being a spoiled brat up on your moral high horse, your vote isn't matching a vote that WILL be cast on the right. That makes you absolutely complicit if the republican wins the office, like it or not.

If there was a different Republican besides Trump who funded his own campaign,
who hadn't pledged to work with other Republicans, and who wasn't covered in shit like Trump...

I could definitely see people swinging toward the GOP if Hillary was the frontrunner.

I think even with Trumps inexperience with politics, he could have had a chance with moderate voters had he not gone completely racist and crazy.

No, you are mistaken. ANY Republican will be demonized by the democrats. Remember how Romney and McCain were demonized by the dems. What moderate Republican would want to subject himself and his family to the abuse that he knows he will have to do through. Remember when MRS Romney was told she was like Stalin?. Remember how Palin's facility was ridiculed? When the moderates are driven out by abuse, only the extreme egomaniacs can endure
In the end, it is a function of our flawed system of the people voting for the chief executive rather than having him selected by the party as in a Parliamentary system or by the party Convention system which used to prevail in the US. When the people vote for the president, the best candidate is good looking, glamorous, a good speaker--or teleprompter reader. Federal experience is a negative because it will involve mistakes and compromises to live down and explain away.

Still seems odd that the narrative is not about the guy who rushed the stage

it seems like he's a professional agitator btw

and it's not about a Presidential candidate getting rushed

but about him deserving it

Do you honestly expect people to care? Do you think he cared when people at his rallies have attacked people? No, he cheered them on.

yeah people should care that a man (or woman) who is running for president gets rushed on the stage

and yeah if it was Kasich or Rubio or Bernie or Hillary - the story would be much different

the reflexive Trump gets what he deserves may give you a chubby but it doesn't get you/us where we need to go

Just as black lives matter and the guy in NC who got punched by the white cracker deserves protection even if he may have stirred things up - and the real villain is the cracker and he got arrested - which is great - shows everyone what you get when you do something like that

well the guy who bum rushed donald is the story - his actions

The Trump impact on political discourse is gross IMO - he is appealing to some bad people

But there is recourse beyond him being bum rushed on the stage and potentially harmed

It would be a different story if it happened at any other candidates rally, you know why? Because they aren't doing what he is doing. Again, he is inciting hate and violence, what do you think is going to happen when an individual does that? I am not going to feel bad for a man who endorses violence when it comes from his white supremacists rallies, but then call out protesters turning violent or people going after him as thugs.

He starts the fire and then steps back when it gets too hot to play the victim. The man insults people and when they fire back, he throws a big hissy fit. He is nothing but a man child with a fragile ego.

The villian that got arrested for assault actually didn't get what he deserved until the next day, but you know who did get arrested at the rally? The guy who got assaulted. You know what Donald Trump did? He cheered on the Police for doing a good job. You also know what the assaulter said? "Next time we see him, we might need to kill him." This hate already exists in people, but guess who is igniting it? Yea, so again, I don't feel the least bit bad when things are getting out of hand.

He did this all to himself.

Just as appropriate for this thread.....we've seen it all before.......

The McCain I saw in 2000 might have gotten my vote. But he move right. Then when he picked Palin, he moved far right.

As for demonizing, I guess you forgot what was done to John Kerry.

He doesn't "condone violence", but it looks like he might reimburse his supporters who beat up his protesters. Some message he's sending.

ATLANTA - Republican presidential primary leader Donald Trump says he will consider paying the legal fees of a North Carolina man captured on video sucker-punching a protester at one of the billionaire's signature mass rallies.

"I don't accept responsibility. I do not condone violence in any shape," Trump told NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday.

But when asked whether he'd financially back the supporter, who was arrested and charged with assault, Trump says he's "instructed my people to look into it, yes."

I keep hoping he dies in a car crash or slips on a banana peel or chokes on his own foot or ....something. Something no one can rally behind as an action. Heart attack or embolism, maybe.

He's so full of shit, it's a small wonder that he doesn't balloon up and explode.

There can be no rally to action because like most tyrants....there is literally nothing behind him.

I just finished explaining to my sister why the cult of personality fails....that unless it is dynastic....the followers of people like Hitler or Mussolini or Trump have nothing to fall back on. The movement falls apart as the reasonably sane turn to more rational and sober choices and the whackheads fail to find any other 'leader' to carry their banner for them.

I more meant the people standing around him at his rallies. Should he manage to get, say, shot or such (and at this point I'm putting nothing past the rest of the debate) they seem like they'll take destruction on others in a 'righteous' fury. Trump left no one to swoop in behind him but that doesn't mean another rich white guy with delusions of grandeur won't attempt to shoehorn themselves in there.

^ But there isn't anyone in the wings who is as drop dead delusional and sociopathic as Trump to take up the call against Muslims, Mexicans, blacks and God knows who else.

Donald has been working up to this for the last decade.....I can think of no other 'billionaire' who would step in and hold Donald's rabble together.

I'm put in mind of when Jorg Haider was killed in a car accident. Overnight, someone who really did seem to pose an existential threat was gone....and his rag-tag following of Nazis fell apart.

I can't think of one either, but that doesn't mean I haven't missed somebody. Or that another one of them isn't itching to go off the rails. Paranoia, thy name is Lucky. On the other hand, it's not really paranoia when they actually are out to get you, so to speak.

These threats of violence against a presidential candidate should be stricken the by the moderator before they come to the attention of the authorities.
